$10 versus $150 - You can do this guys !
I'm a 30 plus year Master appliance technician in Hot Springs arkansas. I keep several of these in stock for several units. Mostly the stacked washer dryer Kenmore Frigidaire or Whirlpool models made from 2000 to 2015. I restring them manually saves me 100 plus over having to buy the shield with the string already in it. Plus when doing a Speed Queen dryer and the heating element cost $140 for no reason. I do that too I just simply pull the old string and restring it manually. I've been doing this for a very long time but I will say this you guys out there who are just good with light mechanical things you can do this. About these for an average price of 10 to 15 dollars and use them in the place of overpriced ridiculous part cost. It's a good product and they do last. Just string them evenly and get them in the insulators appropriately. Have a great day

Make sure no part of the coil is touching the metal back plate
The heating element seems to be made well. I had one from another seller on Amazon that burned out after a couple of months. I just hope this one lasts longer. It's been a week and so far, no issues. As far as installation for my old Kenmore stackable washer/dryer combo, I was lucky to find the right video on youtube that showed how to disassemble and install the heating element. I also saw that it was recommended to step on the very end of the coil with your foot and then hold the other end with your hand to attempt to stretch it to the same length as your original coil. It might be better to have a second person to help stretch it to the correct length but be careful not to overstretch it. Once stretched, I installed the new heating coil and reassembled everything and it tripped the breaker. I took the machine apart 3 times trying to figure out the issue and realized the last time that the coil was touching the back metal plate in one spot and that caused it to short and trip the breaker. Once that issue was resolved, the coil worked perfectly and clothes are not drying again.

Good value
I couldn't find an exact match for my 40 year old dryer, so I had to get creative. This coil seemed to do the trick. Will update in a year or so with how well it holds up.

Didnt even last 1 cycle
Checked that the heat was working after install, worked fine, added clothes did a medium heat. Didnt even last 45 minutes, take it back apart again and its burnt.
