I'm not very overweight, but diabetes runs in my family and I'd like to not end up like that. Two weeks in, I was feeling just not right. Heartbeat a little faster than normal, and tired. I thought 'keto flu'. No big deal. But I was concerned enough to order this meter and it arrived in a couple days. I handed it to a family member not on keto first, to see if it would read zero. It did. But when I went to use it it didn't even take 5 seconds to beep at me. Less than one second in it beeped. I stopped blowing and it read 2.9. That was weird. I let the meter rest a few mins per directions and this time I blew the full 5 seconds despite it's early beeping. I registered 6.9! At that point I was more concerned and took a quick trip to the store to get ketone pee strips, which are cheap. Yes, I tested at high. VERY high. I probably should have gone to the ER, but chose to load up on carbs instead, which dropped my numbers fast. Yes, I broke keto. It was worth not doing a dr trip. Needless to say, I now use this little meter EVERY SINGLE DAY, multiple times a day while on the keto diet. And oddly, I just got my blood checked and am still not diabetic nor prediabetic. So I don't know what gives. If you feel at all funky on Keto, please invest in something to check your ketone levels. Do not assume it's keto flu. Review: Device provided reading initially and then stopped working - The device provided readings and then stopped providing readings and always shows 0.0 even though test strips and blood test shows that I am in Ketosis. Customer service handled the problem quickly and provided a full refund. Upgraded to 3 stars for good customer service. Wish the device kept working.

Saved my life - literally.
So I went on a keto diet after reading almost everything I could get my hands on. I'm not very overweight, but diabetes runs in my family and I'd like to not end up like that. Worked first 5 times, then quit. Also the plastic blow pieces do not click in
There is a little plastic part you attach to the device to blow in. These do not stay in and fall out. It would be very easy to lose these - could be why they give so many. I used the device 3-4x the first day I had it (yesterday) and it worked. It registered between 1.0 and 1.4. I blow into it for 3-5 seconds until it beeps, then it would analyze it and give me the result. Now it no longer beeps and constantly registers a 0.0, even though I had no meal after my last reading that would affect the result. It does not seem to be registering that I am even blowing into it anymore. I am returning it.

Not same as finger stick... Remember you have 3 types of ketones in your body
Works great. Doesn't always match up with my blood test strips, but you have to remember that there are 3 types of ketones in your body. You may not be producing all 3 identically. So it's entirely possible your BHB from the finger stick is higher than the acetone in the breath or vice versa. You really don't need to constantly check ketosis. If you are consuming less than 20-30g of net carbs you are unlikely to not remain in Ketosis. If you are even moderately active you have even more overhead in carb intake. It's really not that hard. Check every now and then for peace of mind and to see how activity and various foods impact your levels, but finger sticks and even glucose levels are far better for food testing.

Do not test immediately after eating or drinking, wait 20 minutes.
I purchased this to track ketosis for weight loss. Very helpful to know what foods I am sensitive to to track the effect on the level of ketosis. I compared it to test strips and itโs accurate. Follow the instructions, and do not eat or drink for at least 20 minutes before testing. Invaluable for someone like me who has a very difficult time losing weight due to thyroid and other hormonal and balances. More information is very helpful.

Look Elsewhere
Monitor is easy to use but it is not accurate. Varying results depending on when you ate or drank last, and when the monitor was last used. Spend the extra $ and get something better.

It lets you know when you are in ketosis.
Just a few days of using it, and very satisfied already. I'm not sure about accuracy, but give me an idea when the numbers go up or down, so I know what to do... It's a good incentive to keep doing keto. Will update if there is an issue.

Finger prick works better
Just not sure about the accuracy, this is always much higher than the finger prick method, think I will continue finger pricking.
