Wow. These reusable gel ice packs with straps are THE best I've come across. I have knees that need to be replaced and I'll soon be having disc replacement surgery on my upper spine so ice packs are a must for me. These are so incredibly convenient to use, they are comfortable against bare skin and they stay in place. I've tried so many types of ice packs, for example the clay filled cold packs. I bought a flat rectangular strapped style and one that wrapped around my neck and laid over my shoulders. They required constant adjusting, they were heavy and when using I couldn't move much because they were impossible to keep in place. These ice packs are 100% easier to use and aren't cumbersome one bit. Even though I'm not able to leave the house often, when I do I need to be able to take ice with me and I can easily do that with these unlike others. I can strap one on each knee and one around my neck and not worry about them moving, falling off, getting uncomfortable, dripping condensation or aggravating the pain I deal with by being too hard and heavy. I can't suggest these enough! If you use ice packs on a regular basis, do yourself a favor and give these a try. Even if you don't need to use ice daily, you'll be happy to have these on hand when you find yourself in need. They truly are a game changer for me. I purchased one, tried it the day it arrived and promptly ordered two more. You won't be disappointed by this product. I give these am A++++!

Don't know why they claim this is for elbows or ankles or similar smaller areas of the body. The strap and velcro is only designed for a thick areas like kneck, hip or similar. I am using it for my elbow and it's a struggle to keep it on because I can't use the velcro area that sits on the blue cold pack area. It is getting the job done but I would not recommend buying this for arms or ankles.

My wife broke her wrist a few weeks ago and regular ice bags and our aging ice-cube-like sheets were hard on her very sensitive wrist and forearm (both before and after the surgery). I found on Amazon the Gel Ice Pack and ordered three packs as well as the strap. It arrived within a few days and has been utilized multiple times each day thereafter with good results, being malleable to fit her forearm without any sharp edges or great weight. The strap has cushioning on one side and a mesh on the other and the packs can be held in place using a black strap attached at one end of the gel holder and velcro at the other end. One suggestion that would work better in situations such as my wife's is that the strap not be attached or be removable and would have velcro on both ends as that would be a better fit for areas that have to be secured on the horizontal. All in all, the Reusable Gel Ice Pack has provided much relief to my wife as she recovers from her injury.

I bought one of these to test it out during my healing for a bunion surgery I needed an ice pack to cool down my leg (used on my ankle and knee). This product worked well since it had a really comfortable casing for the ice back and had a wide elastic band that secured the ice pack around my ankle or knee...no falling off! I bought a second one so that I could change them out when one thawed out. Highly recommend this product. I can see where this would work for an arm and even as a cold compress for your head since the elastic is long , thick and sturdy.

This gel ice pack is fantastic. My dog had TPLO surgery recently, and we needed a pack to help ice her leg after we did some physical therapy.It takes a couple of hours to thoroughly freeze, and it melts at a regular rate. I haven't had a chance to use the warm gels yet, but maybe I'll update when I do. As far as what I have needed it for, it did the job and I couldn't ask for more.Would I buy from this company again? Yes, absolutely. They have kept in contact to ensure the quality of their product is up to par and are always willing to answer questions you have. 2 thumbs up.

I have acute tendonitis in my right elbow and I use this gel pack to ice it down when it flares and swells. It retains cold for 20-30 minutes, which is about right for my needs. I haven't tried it with heat yet. The only challenge has been getting the strap to wrap around my elbow snugly one-handed. It takes a bit of patience and coordination; but, the ice pack works so well once fitted, I don't consider it a detractor.

This is a replacement for another brand that became worn out and didn't really freeze properly any more. I've been very happy with this product - it's much more flexible and can work in tighter joint angles. Definitely recommend!

I got this product for a friend who injured her knee. It is fantastic and the ice pack reduces the swelling and the pain. I will be purchasing it again. Very well made and helpful.
