My Plane Trip Coloring Book (Dover Kids Coloring Books)

What a great book for children traveling on their plane ride. Plenty of age appropriate things to keep them busy and entertained.

We bought it to help our daughter during the flight. It helped her understand airport procedures and she had so much fun for many for many hours.

Cute book for kids going on a plane trip. Nice little story to get them familiar with what will happen on the plane. Love that you can color the pictures, great to take on the plane and keep busy. Small enough to fit in a carry-on.

This is a great idea and we got these with the best intentions, but did not end up using them. We had 2 first time flyers ages 4 and 2 and thought they would like the storyline and coloring them. In reality, they just wanted to watch movies on their iPads and we never got these books out for them. They were bigger than I thought they would be and are basically the size of a letter size piece of paper. It does state the dimensions, but I did not see it or pay attention to this. I think a little smaller would be better for ease of use on an airplane tray and storage in a carryon bag. I think we should have read these to them a day or two before the flight and not saved them for the plane itself. The price on these is very good.

This book does an excellent job of showing to a little child how the airport and flight works. Everything is explained: packing at home, driving to the airport, checking in luggage, going through security, checking timetables, waiting, boarding the plane, finding your seats, fastening seat belts, safety instructions, what happens in the control tower and in the cockpit. Then it's time for takeoff, a little nap, snacks, watching a movie, landing and getting your bags. "My Plane Trip" is a coloring book, which I didn't realize at the time of purchase, but that wasn't a problem - we took out the crayons and my daughter had fun coloring the pages. Now that the kids know everything about flying, they should learn about cruising! Maya & Filippo Play Chef at Sea would be the perfect companion to help them get accustomed to the idea of traveling by sea. Then they could take the Steam Train, Dream Train and go to sleep. Here, you're all set for an even longer flight :)

I bought this for my 2-year old son in anticipation of an upcoming plane trip. I was a little worried that it would be a tiny sized one, but it's about letter-sized paper. For a coloring book, it's really well done, very comprehensive and takes a surprisingly detailed look at plane travel and what goes on in a plane. We haven't actually taken crayons to the book yet, but as other reviewers indicated,the pages are surprisingly thick and bright white paper, and my son was very interested in the story. For under 3 bucks, this is a great product, and definitely a reasonable investment to help prepare for a plane trip.

Unlike many coloring books, this one has excellent text to go with the pictures. It details the entire process of air travel, from arriving at the airport to what happens on the plane. We bought this prior to travel with our 22 month old. She loved hearing the story during the flight (over and over), and she still loves it now. The fact that it is also a coloring book is bonus. I highly recommend it for anyone planning a flight with their little one or even for the little ones who just love airplanes.

The book is cute, just right for my 4.5 year old grandson but the text is heavily dominated with how important the male figures are from the Daddy to the pilots (both male). I actually edited the book with a marker making one of the pilots a woman and added some text about what Mommy did to get everyone ready for the trip.

Bought this to keep my 5 year old Grandson occupied at the airport. Ho loves the pictures and story.

We are going on an international trip soon, my daughters first plane ride, and this was a great buy to help her prepare before hand so she can understand what to expect! Great for on the plane and before hand.

Great book for little ones to prepare for a plane trip. Our three year old loved reading it and learning about all the steps to the trip before we left. It is a colouring book, though we just used it as a story book.
