Is this fun for 2 adults to play?

Yes, with a caveat. I bought it for a trip with 9 friends to Jamaica. We enjoyed the game, but the strategy is limited in scope and the chances of success are mostly dependent upon the dice rolls. It's basically a "no-brainer" barroom type game. The friends I was with for two weeks of sunshine enjoyed this game for 30 minutes or so on multiple evenings, but then gravitated to more challenging games such as Upword or bridge. You can find this game online, and play it with computer-generated dice rolls. See if you like it before purchasing.

How do 2 players use the board? Do you have to remember your flipped tiles and reset them every turn?

One person completes rolling the dice or die until they shut the box or get the lowest possible score. then player no. 2 takes their turn and so on.

Are the numbered tiles attached or can they be removed, meaning, lost?

Attached. Sending mine back as the wood across the bottom is too close and won’t allow the tiles to lean back and stay up.

I thought it had a lid. How can you shut the box without a lid?

The lid slides in and out. It is not a hinged lid. It acts more like a drawer that slides out.
