Airtek Twin Flocked Top Air Mattress Plus 1" High Density Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Topper

I bought this for my nephew for our video game & pizza nights. He has decided he is big enough so that he doesn't need to sleep with his auntie (which I'm entirely grateful for as no matter how many times I wake up to turn him so his head is on the pillow I always wake up an hour later with small feet resting gently on my face) but not big enough to sleep in the guest room. I specifically got the mattress with the memory foam because air mattresses can be cold and the extra layer of foam makes a huge difference. Because of the reviews about the bed not filling properly I filled it immediately upon receipt and left it full for several days to see if it lost air. It filled correctly and stayed full until I decided to deflate it and put it away. The memory foam is not high quality. It stayed smushed for two days before I finally got frustrated and put it in my dryer on the steam refresh setting for a few minutes. That puffed it up but if you decide to do that be very careful as it shredded one of the edges a little, though it's still entirely usable. I wouldn't say it's a full inch, its closer to 3/4 of an inch, but honestly I don't care. It was less than $10 difference between the one without the foam and with and there's no way I could get a twin 1" memory foam or even normal foam for remotely that price. Additionally the "high density memory" aspect wasn't the point so much as the insulation which it provides far better than stuffing a quilt under the bottom sheet. The added benefit of the foam is that it makes the bed more comfortable and much quieter than a normal air mattress which is particularly good given what an active sleeper my nephew is. He sleeps well on it and finally I can get a good nights sleep and have the energy to do fun things like go hiking and play tag in the park (in addition to more video games and left over pizza of course) before giving him back to his parents.

I used my mattress every night for a month while staying with my sister who had heart surgery. The memory foam insulates adequately from the cold air in the mattress (mine in on a carpet over a cement slap floor) but the mattress loses a bit of air each day, so I give it a little boost each night before going to bed. It doesn’t leave me in a “taco” in the morning, it’s just a bit too soft after 24 hours. I know from experience that the mattress pad alone would be totally inadequate, but that a 2 inch foam topper would run an additional $60-70! I wish they’d put flocking on both sides so it wouldn’t slide in the carpet. I like to sit in bed and lean against the wall while reading at night and it tends to slide away.

memory foam is totally flat on one end only. Can't see it coming back into shape. The other end is fine, about an inch difference. Please let me know is something can be done, very disappointing.Otherwise, the bed itself seems fine, but we paid extra to get this flat memory foam topper.

We are very pleased with the Airtek product. In fact, it is the most comfortable we have owed. The memory foam topper adds a level of comfort you will not get on any other mattress and helps to eliminate any feeling of rolling when turning over. We did not experience any air loss during the week it was being used. The height is easy to get up and down from. Overall we are really pleased with the mattress and will most likely purchase a queen size for when the grandloves are over.

The Memory foam is not one inch is more like less than 1/2 an inch will try this tomorrow very disappointed with memory foam. nothing of high density here more like flat density

The bed came as described and was very easy to set up. I inflated it two weeks before my guests arrived and it stayed firm. My guest was also very happy. It was quick to deflate as well. Other inflatable beds I have purchased have lasted for only one use and leaked air. This is one I would recommend

Very disappointed I paid extra for the “topper”. It was not integrated into the top of the mattress as I thought based on photo. It’s a quarter inch thick foam layer that held a sharp ridge from being tightly folded and rolled. Couldn’t even use it because of that ridge. The air mattress itself seemed fine. Save your money and buy just the mattress and skip this version with a “topper”.

Absolutely love it. Extremely comfortable, easy to inflate and deflate. A tiny bit tricky to fit back into bag with pad attached, storage bag could be a little larger but otherwise a great bed for the money. We have used it quite a bit everyone said it sleeps great.
