A bit complicated, no instructions in English
I've been experimenting with this before giving it as a gift. I wanted to make sure I could get this set up so that the kids could dive in and enjoy it. Unfortunately there are no instructions in English, and limited pictures. There's an additional dry mixture in this kit that isn't pictured in the photos. Essentially, there are two things to mix along with the water. I don't know the ratios or measurements. I have been trying and mostly failing (or, if I'm doing it right, then the kit just doesn't work terribly well and is pretty messy). The dry mix combined with water makes this goopy substance - I assume it helps contain the paint, so it doesn't just get absorbed in the water. The dry mix doesn't dissolve perfectly even after aggressive stirring, so you end up with big chunks of goop on your painting. I'm giving two stars assuming that it might work decently if one knew how to prepare it. Unless you can read Simplified Chinese, I don't think you'll enjoy the experimental process either.

What you see is not what you get...unless they change most of the photos since this review.
Photos in add are drastically exaggerated and misrepresented. They get away with it because dimensions aren't listed anywhere and the photos vary in each one. The size of the basin listed in the photos is not what is sent. The size of the basin sent may be able to dip a cell phone cover into it, but unlike the photos that picture sneakers, pillows, etc..that would never fit. The photos with the child's hand shows a basin about six times the size of what is actually paid for. False advertising.

Very small tray and paper, not very fun to use
Really was a cheap kit, didn't really "marble" very well.This just made more of a mess than anything else and the tray was SOOOO small that it was more of a meticulous project than a fun one.I wouldnt recommend for younger kids and older kids would find the small sheets of paper to design to be pretty boring.

Directions in Chinese?? Item is useless to me without proper instructions
Took quite some time to arrive. Box was smashed, which makes it embarrassing to give as a gift. Directions are all in Chinese, so no idea how to use. Found another one, similar price, that arrived within 3 days, and wonderful instructions. I would not recommend this product, unless you can read, or have a way of translating Chinese
