Let's Review Algebra 2/Trigonometry

Very good reference and practice book on Regents Algebra 2/Trig
I was pleasantly surprised at this book. It has all the necessary prep needed for Algebra 2/Trig. Although I don't teach the Regents syllabus, I do teach Algebra 2 and Trig. Many of the chapters contain an adequate number of examples . Chapter Three for instance is about Types of Functions. You get Linear functions, absolute value functions, quadratic functions , solving linear and quadratic equations , solving quadratic inequalities and higher degree polynomial equations in this chapter. There are chapter practices after each section.I would like to amend this review to state that, after working through the book with my student, like the previous reviewers, I had to correct some errors in the book. Nothing major that a teacher well-versed in the topics cannot spot, but it can be very confusing and frustrating for someone trying to work through this book alone. If you want to use this book, I highly recommend a tutor. Overall, it is a good review book, if a bit short on examples. For this reason and also the multiple errors in it, I recommend again to work through this book with someone who knows the topics well.

Excellent review book, but has lots of mathematical errors.
I am a high school science teacher with a degree in biology, and I'm about to return to school for a second degree. I purchased this book to help me refresh my algebra skills before taking Calculus, as it has been ten years since I graduated college. The book is a wonderful review, with all of the principles and concepts explained very clearly and concisely. It also provides plenty of examples and practice problems. My only complaint about the book is the number of errors in the book. In working through the book, I discovered more than a dozen mathematical errors in the example problems and practice problem solutions. I confirmed the errors using my Mathway.com subscription. Even with these errors, the book provides an excellent review source. It could be problematic for someone with weaker skills, though, trying to figure out how to complete certain examples, when the problems in the book are, in fact, wrong. In section 3.7, for example, 3 of the 7 examples worked out have errors in them. Two of them are factored incorrectly, and one of them has a substitution error.

could be better
This edition of "Let's Review" has many errors in his solutions. A little proofreading would have helped a great deal.In addition, the book fails to give many detailed illustrative problems before jumping to much harder examples. It is always important, and particularly in a review book, to give the reader numerous examples which are graduated in difficulty throughout the book and for which the solutions are written out in detail. Also, since these review books are usually used as an addition to a text book so that students can continually strengthen their skills with spiraled exercises, they should also provide a great number of exercises at the end of each section. This book fails to do either of these.

High School Gem
I liked the font size. It made it easy to read.

Pretty good mate
This book is great for studying! Gives you a variety of problems that will ensure getting a high score or successfully master algebra2 and trigonometry. The only thing is that the book has some important typos and some examples were confusing and there are other ways to solve the problem more efficiently. But general speaking, 4 stars- pretty good mate :)

Good teaching/review book
I used this book to home school my son while we were out of the country. It contained several topics tested by New York Regents exams which were not covered in his Algebra/Trig textbook, so it was quite useful. The examples were clear and easy to understand. My only complaint is that it needs better proofreading; I found several errors.

Most comprehensive review for the test.
Some test makers don't offer sufficient review materials for their tests, but Barron's Regents series is fantastic -- the only book I use when tutoring high school students for the Algebra 2 Regents. Lots of thorough review materials, and though the practice tests are available for free online, it's nice to have them in the book, for ease of students' use.

Would be a great review except for all the errors!
This review is extensive and covers a lot of topics, but I am finding quite a lot of errors...things like negative signs where they shouldn't be and inequality signs written backwards...this has caused me quite a bit of frustration and I have to keep checking with people who are better at math than me to confirm that the book is the one making the mistakes and not me! At least it's keeping me on my toes, I guess.
