Cleaning the fountains is so important and ive always had trouble without the right tools. This kit is perfect for cleaning all fountains! Its got ever tool and makes cleaning easy, especially the pump. I only wish it had a smaller cleaner, like for straws. Its otherwise excellent. I'll def buy this again when the items wear out. Good value too.

I ordered this set to better clean my fountain. It’s funny, but the fountain manual did not come close to informing me at all about the fountain maintenance. Read the back of this package carefully and you will need all that you need to know!!! Included with the brush and sponge is a tiny brush. On reading the package I learned things I would never have known! This tiny brush is actually a tool that you use to OPEN the front of the aerator pump. It tells you on the packaging step by step how to open this critical piece and use this handy tool to disassemble it to get all parts perfectly clean. I would NEVER have known and when I finally decided to get this and found this information and opened that tiny pump- YUCK!!! It was so slimy inside and had even sucked in small pieces of the filter material. I couldn’t believe it. I downloaded the fountain manual again and sure enough, there was never any mention about opening or cleaning the filter and without this tiny little brush, it would be difficult. Everything dries off quickly. The sponge isn’t magical but it nice to have one dedicated to just the fountain. The big brush was perfectly designed to clean the inside of the flower pieces and has a tapered tip that fits into the pump opening for quickly brushing out that part in between deeper cleanings. I am SO grateful that I found this and there is and will never be any slimy weird stuff in my pups water!!! For me, a MUST have.

The instructions actually taught me how to clean a deeper part of my cat's fountain motor than I knew existed! Saved me the cost of a replacement and I think my kitty is happier with cleaner water (there was some gross stuff in there!)

I like getting this when it’s on sale. Not just for the cat fountain, also great to have a set for the dishes. Both brushes are decent quality and help get every nook and cranny of the fountain clean.

If you recently bought the fountain and do not already have a bottle brush, this is a good purchase. The two brushes are helpful for making sure the tubes and the motor are thoroughly cleaned, which they need to be to make sure you do not burn out the motor due to build up. The sponge is good, but I do not anticipate it lasting more than a few months.

I bought this water fountain for my cat who thinks she has to drink out of a running faucet. Really cute, but not always practical. I do like this fountain. It is easy to put together and holds a good amount of water. I usually clean one to two times a week with the brush/sponge cleaning kit. Getting the little yellow flower out is tricky, but I think you can get it clean enough with the brush. It takes about 10 minutes to fully clean. Don't forget to clean the water pump. I watched a video on Youtube on cleaning it which helped. Go for it!

These brushes really got into every nook and cranny, on the Catit cat fountain I own. I had purchased filters at a real cheap price and ended up hating that product. All it did was leave the fountain with black gunk every week, when replaced. You really do get what you paid for. So, getting the gunk out with just a sponge or rag wasn’t cutting it. I just received my order and right away started cleaning the fountain. Left it brand new. If I wouldn’t drink out of that fountain, neither will be cats. Now they can drink peacefully. Needless to say, I’m sticking to the Catit water filters. Period. Lol

The only negative I'm going to say is that I think it's kind of crappy that you NEED a special cleaning kit just to be able to clean this fountain. But when I found my cats' fountain suddenly coated in mold, I discovered I had no way of getting into all the narrow bits. I eventually used the handle of a wooden spoon and a wet paper towel, but that was tedious. However, the fountain is the first one my cats like to drink from, so I went ahead and bought this cleaning kit. I don't foresee the sponge lasting long, but the brush is very nice for reaching all those narrow openings! By the way, the front of the little air pump does open. I only realized that after getting this kit. Make sure you take that off and clean it regularly, too.

Fits perfectly and makes cleaning the fountain much easier. The brushes get into all the awkward spots. The pump stays cleaner now and the filter lasts longer between changes. Should have bought this sooner.
