Top of the line EDC.
Not a big knife, but just right for a EDC for me. Keeps its sharpness, flip and lock are smooth.

Excellent Knife
I read a lot of positive reviews about CIVIVI knifes and decided to add one to my collection of folding (flipper) knives. What I like about this knife? Love the weight and balance holding the knife. I do prefer heavier knives and this one fits the bill. The knife is solidly built and appears flawless in construction. The thing that sold be is how easy it is to open with one finger. There is little resistance opening the knife, yet the blade is absolutely solid. Now my favorite flipper knife. And the blade is extremely sharp out of the box. I can’t find any negatives about this excellent knife and highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed.

Quality
I’m not the type to write reviews but I had to for this, I’ve bought 3 knives from this company and still have 2 and for 50-60 dollars it can’t get much better. The packaging is really nice and I bought one 2 days ago and have had one for 2 years, I got 2 of the baklash knives and the only issue with mine of 2 years is a tiny bit of blade play that is still less play than any gerber or anything of the same price range and when they are brand new. The blade play being so minimal shows me the quality which prompted me to buy more from this company, to get that blade play I used a hammer to pound it through multiple things, I’ve cut tires/seat belts all kinds of stuff and only had to sharpen my blade twice. Overall would recommend, smooth action, good looking, sharp/stays sharp. I have no complaints

CIVIVI Knives Continue to Impress
The Baklash C801H is my third CIVIVI and a favorite for EDC. I also have a CIVIVI Praxis with the wood scales (a showy piece of knife art, to be sure) and the CIVIVI Brazen Tanto. The design, execution, and craftsmanship of all my CIVIVI knives are amazing, especially at their price point. The Baclash has an ample flipper that opens the knife so easily that it rivals my spring-assisted openers (such as those with Kershaw's SpeedSafe®), thanks to the stainless steel ball bearings in its pivot. I prefer flipper openers, and appreciate that there is no redundant thumb stud.I was pleased to see the liner's locking arm sitting in the "sweet spot" on the far left portion of the blade tang, which portends a long service life. The liner's blue coating contrasts nicely with the black, lightly textured G-10 scales and black stonewashed blade. The only nit I would pick is the shiny steel R/L pocket clip; I would have preferred a black version for both stealth carry and for it to be in keeping with the knife's overall aesthetics. The 3.5" modified clip-point blade is hollow ground and made from 9Cr18MoV stainless steel, which is claimed to have excellent corrosion resistance. The beefy jimping on the blade's spine and a generous finger choil facilitate delicate tip work. There's even a lanyard hole in the nicely contoured handle for those who have any use for that feature. It would be hard to find a better value in a "budget" knife. I don't consider the Baklash to be a "heavy duty" folder. With a few exceptions, mass produced liner lock knives don't tolerate much abuse. What remains to be seen is how durable this beauty will be after a few years of respectful use.

Nice for a budget friendly knife!
I have always carried a name brand 3-blade pocket knife. However, I recently needed a larger blabe and was looking for something with a clip to help secure the knife in my pocket. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not much on Chinese knives. But, after watching reviews on budget friendly EDC knives, I decided to try this knife as it seemed to fit my need without breaking the bank.I'll have to say... I'm impressed with this Civivi Backlash. For me... it's the perfect size, fits well in my pocket with the deep pocket clip which is nice with counter sunk screws so there is no catching or ripping pants material. It is easy opening and has a nice tight blade with no play when locked open; and I added my own paracord lanyard to make it easier to grab and give it my own personal touch. I like the black handles and blade and I like the blue colored liners...just looks good to me. Very sharp blade right out of the box.If there's one thing I didn't like, it is the linerlock mechanism....it works fine, but took me a while to get used to it. The more I open and close it....the more I like it...plus it's nice to be able to operate it all one handed. I can't report yet on how long it will hold a sharp edge but we'll see. For me....this is a great knife for the money. I would not hesitate to buy another if needed. Plus,. I might check out some other Civivi knives now that I've used this one.
