Great EDC pen, versatile and portable
UPDATE 06/21: I've carried this pen everyday since March 16 (now June 21) and the clip has never moved, in the slightest. Five Star rating still stands.Perfect EDC (Every Day Carry) pen. At work I carry it in my trouser pocket, at play I carry it in my fifth pocket. It's barely noticeable while carrying and changes to a full size pen when the cap is placed. The pen is thin, like a traditional BIC pen, and the clip keeps it from rolling off desks. The infamous clip: I've carried the pen everyday since March 16th (now April 8th) and the clip has never moved, doesn't feel like it's going to move nor does it feel like it's going to snap/break. Maybe Fisher slides them on tighter than before during manufacturing, maybe I got lucky, maybe some others got unlucky, who knows. Remember, I use the clip daily. FYI, there are replacement clips available. The cap: There's some reviews that claim the cap is loose. I've tried violently shaking the pen holding just the cap (thinking forcing ketchup out of a bottle) in it's closed and open position and it didn't move. Either people don't know how to put the pen cap on properly or their rubber o-ring is damaged, compromising the seal it creates when the pen is closed. Here's a tip: when you take off or put on the cap, do it while twisting the cap. It's that much easier to take off the cap and it creates a better seal when closing it.The ballpoint: The pen writes better than most ballpoint pens but don't try to compare it to a Mont Blanc or something of that nature. I'll order one soon but many have said the fine point ink cartridge writes several steps above the medium ink cartridge, which ships with the pen.Writeability(?)/clogging: Some reviews mention clogging and skipping. I use the pen every day, several times a day and I've never come across this. When I use my pen for the first time in the morning, it gets right to writing without any delay. I think others have a faulty cartridge; I know someone who's contacted Fisher about this and was sent a replacement cartridge, free of charge. And yes, it works great upside down, on greasy paper (WD-40) and on wet paper (spilled water bottle). It even wrote on a white subway tile (kitchen back-splash).Portability: This pen defines portability. I saw a complaint about the pen not having a key ring; reviewer should have looked at the Fisher trekker Space Pen.TIP: Fisher warranties this pen much like Zippo warranties their lighters; if there is anything mechanically wrong with the pen, send it in and they will repair or replace it. The Fisher website has more details.I've included two pictures for size comparison.

Handsome Pen for EDC
I bought this pen to carry on a daily basis (EDC). I was drawn to it for its simplicity, small size, and the fact that it used the pressurized space pen cartridge. While it is not a cheap writing implement, you will never need to worry about breaking it, only losing it. I have carried it daily for 8 months now and it shows lttle signs of wear. There is some slight wear around the clip where the brass is showing through scratches in the paint, but I personally find that it adds character to the tool. I am more than impressed with its performance. It has written reliably (the only exception being on cheap masking tape), and the construction is robust. I have received several compliments on it when I lent it to others to use. The weight feels very solid, and it looks very pleasing to the eye, both when capped and uncapped. Overall, if you are considering purchasing this pen for EDC, you will not regret your choice if you decide to opt for this one.

Like an inkjet printer in your hand
I use this pen specifically for Sudoku puzzles in bed. Writing on my back with a normal pen never works as they all go dead after a few numbers. This pen however never goes dead on me while im writing "upside down". The ink feels as though it wants to get out of the pen, even the lightest touch will leave a mark. It's simmilar to a gel pen but smudge free and with the feeback of a rollerball.

Pen
I love this pen. It writes from any angle. When closed, cap on, it is much smaller than a regular pen. Which I love because it fits very nicely in my jeans pocket. An added bonus for me. It goes everywhere with me.

My favorite daily pen
I got the brass with the protective coating. It looks like a gold plated pen and I have received comments on such a nice pen. It works best when the cap is placed on the back end of the pen so it is the length of a typical pen. The ball action is smoother than other pens I have used and it writes easily on every type of paper I have tried.

Small but mighty!
This is the second bullet space pen I have purchased, but I bought it because I liked the first one so much! The first one is the same chrome unit, but it has no clip and came in a blister pack. This pen has the clip - which I wanted for this one - and comes in a nice case which I will try to keep the pen in while in my briefcase, but is probably not practical to do so. I purchased the first pen to keep in my car because it has the low and high temperature capabilities that make sense for the car. I have constantly looked to write something down while in the car - such as filling out a deposit slip - but there was always a problem in freezing temperatures that kept the pen from writing. So, after reading about the bullet space pen, I bought it and now have no issue with temperatures and freezing. I enjoy it so much that I decided to get a second one, with a clip, to use for work. I really like it. My one, minor issue, is that the pen is small, so it is easy to lose, but it does get normal sized when you pull off the cap and place it on the end of the pen. The minor issue with that is that the cap does not snap solidly on the end of the pen, although it doesn't readily fall off. The pen feels real well made and is comfortable to hold. It also writes beautifully. They say it can write under water, so as soon as I find a paper that is waterproof (do they have such a thing?), I will try that feature!

Lacquered Brass Classic Space Pen with Clip adds much needed etched lines for even better grip
Like many, I own a few Fisher Space Pens of different varieties. This Lacquered Brass pen is unique in that it has these circular etched lines all the way up and down the barrels for a really good grip when writing. These lines mean you do not have to hold it so tight since it will not slip in your hand. I find the cap also holds better because of them. The clip as well has better grip.I have this pen in a sheath that I carry with my Leatherman multi-tool and it fits (without slipping) into the side pockets and the clip helps hold it just that much better. It's the same exact size as always. Of course it writes extremely well as expected from Fisher's unique pressurized refills. I highly recommend this pen. Well done! to Fisher again.

Recommended product
I’ve owned one of these previously and a naughty co worker pocketed it at some point. Yes it’s pricey for just a ballpoint pen but it’s a nicely precision made pen, has a nice weight and feel to it. I love the compact design as you can pocket it and it won’t dig in your leg. Also specific to me I work with prisoners all day and when you need them to sign for something it’s easy to hand them the short part of the pen without the lid to save giving them something they can use to injure you with. Last part is bit random I know. But overall excellent writing tool ink is smooth and lasts for ever and no scratching on the paper when writing it glides beautifully.
