Pirelli: The Cal - 50 Years and More Hardcover – August 20, 2015

This is a fantastic book. The size and quality are just crazy for the price. I honestly did not know what to expect given the low price but was happily surprised that this is a very high quality version from Taschen. And of course the photography is awesome, it's the entire history of the Pirelli calendar up to the 2015 calendar by Steven Meisel.

Worth every penny spent

I enjoyed it but I wish they did every year like they did 2015 at the end. Each month's actual calendar shot getting a full page to itself would have been better IMO than all the small pics they included. That said it's a fine collection of photos & beautiful women.My personal favorite was Nov 2010 - Miranda Kerr looks so great here but it's only a tiny picture. That's part of my reason for the above comment.The Jan 2015 Adriana Lima shot is full size & her post baby boobs look very nice. Def. my second favorite.Whoever your favorite model is there's a decent chance she's in here & maybe even nude. There are also some other stars like Jennifer Lopez & Rachael Leigh Cook but those are rare. This is mostly models.If you just want a book of hot nude girls, I'd get the Playboy Centerfolds book 1st if you can find a copy. If you're into a very artistic book with lots of fashion models, you might prefer this one or another one.

First point Amazon is 30% cheaper than Taschen.This book is such a joy. It is a requirement for any model photographer from the retro of the 1960s until now. Idea upon idea from great photographers. The history of how and why it came about is riveting and left me wanting more stories.I'm obviously overjoyed with this (and I have dozens of photography books). It excited me from my future projects point of view and has inspired me to think differently about my work.Just buy and enjoy it.
