Free & Gentle, 95 Oz, Unscented, Powder

In my standard top-loading washer, Tide powder works just as good as liquid. I switched from powder to liquid way back in the 1990s because it was always leaving clumps of powder on my clothes, but I decided to try a box of Tide powder in 2023 to see if it had gotten any better in 25 years. It definitely has. No problem with the powder dissolving. And it's just as hypoallergenic as Tide Free & Gentle liquid and pods, and cleans just as well too. I was looking for a way to use less plastic, but it's not really feasible to ship Tide Pods in a cardboard box because they do leak sometimes. So the only option for cardboard boxes is powder. And I'm here to tell you, Tide powder in 2023 is not the same clumpy mess it was in 1998. It's much improved, cleans as well as any Tide liquid, and the only plastic in the box is the scoop (which is about 1/50th as much plastic as a bottle of Tide liquid uses). EDIT: According to the manufacturer, Tide Free & Gentle Powder has been discontinued. I'll be looking for an alternative.

First off. I could never see myself spending this much money on laundry soap, and for this price the boxes should be much larger. But it is a great product. My towels come out soft and clean.

This product seems to work great. I bought it to get away from liquid detergent with animal fat surfactant that makes me have to take my LG washer apart to clean the boot - a three hour job. I don't use as much as recommended and it still does a great job. I will update this post when I notice that my clothes don't smell ten minutes into my workouts after about six months or so. Also it has absolutely no smell at all, I will use it on my camo for sure. Absolutely has the HE turbo symbol on it so don't worry about that. Buy it you will be satisfied UPDATE: Five months into the use of this product and there is no build up at all in the drain holes of my LG washer seal boot and my clothes don't smell five minutes after I get to the gym. Hopefully i will never have to re-build this thing ever again! i use way less than the recommend and get great results.

I don't get why if you buy this as powder in a box that it costs so much. I feel like detergent needs to go back to this packaging anyway. The plastics are out of control and the consumer is being blamed for that. Hello? Manufacturers? I have tried so many of the "earth friendly" detergents that come as little sheets and they just don't work for me and my family. This detergent does, it works, it cleans very well without masking anything with perfumes! Please TIDE be the first and stop the plastic and pricing madness!

My skin loves this detergent. I would like to get some laundry sheets that are really hypoallergenic but so far they have failed to live to their claims. At least Tide comes in a paper box and is really hypoallergenic! 1

I started using this because my youngest, who is diabetic, also has eczema. When I bought it just a few months ago, it was already $25. Now, it's $45 - $60! Why the price hike for the same size product??? I stopped using Tide for a long time because of this same issue. Guess I will find something else to use.

What is there to say about this famous brand of laundry detergent. I have to use the kind that doesn't have any perfumes or chemical type that will irritate my skin cuz I am the queen of contact dermatitis and this works just fine. Here's a tip I only use half the amount that's recommended and that works just as well so save yourself some money and cut the amount in half if you want to. This is a good purchase you can probably find it cheaper at some local store but I can't carry heavy things so this fits the bill for me. Happy wash.

Have been using this for a long time. My husband cannot tolerate the perfumes and dyes in detergents, so this is great. Since I have a front loader and cannot mix additives, I.e. powder detergent with liquid additives. I use this detergent with powder Oxi Clean, baking soda, etc. Works wonderful. *****Paid over $50.00 for this!!!!!******* Because I could not find this in any of the grocer stores I use, had to order this online. Ridiculous!

This is a great cleaning product for people with well water. I use it for dirty clothes only because the cost has gone waayyyyy toooooo high.
