ABUS 64TI/30 Titalium Aluminum Alloy Padlock, Keyed Alike, Pack of 2

Exactly as advertised. I needed a matched pair of small locks to lock the Tommy Gate on the back of my pickup truck. These locks met that criteria and worked perfectly.

Took the plunge on these for my Pelican BX255. Doing some research I originally thought the TSA cable wire lock was the only one that would fit. Did some more digging and found these but was still unsure if they would fit. I am happy to report that the shaft fits with room to spare! Decided to leave this review for ease of access to those who had the same questions as I did but couldn’t find much online.

Just the right size to put on storage for flying with fir arms. Easy to use. I was a locksmith for a long time and always used Abus padlocks, unless the customer demanded another brand. TSA can't unlock it without bolt cutters bu they don't have to. When I check it at the airline counter, TSA is called, has me open it, looks, says okay, locks it up and signs it off with the airline. If you skip this step and put it into your checked luggage without doing what the airline's rules and TSA requires, you'll find the TSA also x-rays checked bags. You'll probably miss your flight while the airline, TSA, local law enforcement has a not so nice talk with you.

Fits Apache 2800 (Harbor Freight brand).

Well-made lock, just not the most sturdy of its kind. I had to replace older rusted locks outside, and I expect this to perform much better.

Just as another reviewer pointed out (thanks for the pictures by the way!) these locks are a great fit for the smaller Pelican cases. That particular reviewer had a Pelican 1170 and I compared it to the 1200 I had purchased for securing a firearm while traveling. These locks are the smallest you can go and still close the latch. As seen in my pictures, there's a very small amount of wiggle room. That's a good thing though, you can't open the case at all to even slide a piece of paper in let alone get at the contents. While I could have gone for a beefier lock, the holes on the Pelican case would have to be drilled out to fit a 5/16" shackle so 1/4" is your only other option. Realistically though, someone can either walk off with this case or bring a small hacksaw and cut through the plastic around the lock hole. These are a great deterrent and much better than generic Masterlock models. The build quality and latching feel great. Definitely a great match for smaller Pelican cases.

Looks like an excellent quality lightweight small padlock. Check dimensions if looking for a specific fit, or perhaps a larger, more robust padlock. This worked perfectly for my application.

I figure if anyone tries to pick this lock they will be on the inside of the fence trying to get out. 4 pins, judging by the bidding on the key which looks well machined, and L lockport folks picking them online, reasonable tolerances, certainly better than an ml, though what isn't. I don't know for sure, but it looks easily shimmable so I wouldn't use it for high-security needs. But the price is right for those keeping the honest honest moments and having two keyed alike for less than half what you'd pay for keyed alike ml pads. Also, they won't open if you sneeze at them.

pros: inexpensive and 2 locks keyed alike, good for when multiple locks are needed for the same item, or you want one key to access multiple things. Small enough to be light and compact while large enough to still serve "real lock" duty, unlike tiny luggage locks. cons: just be realistic, this is not for high security applications. They could be overwhelmed by a physical brute force attack without much effort, and while I was unable to find any evidence of a low-skill bypass like raking, combing, shimming, etc. I can't guarantee that it couldn't happen, and regardless they are not very hard to pick. However, I think they are sufficient for the application, unlike a lot of other locks I could mention that are basically useless even for the lowest of security situations.

These are nice little milled aluminum padlocks that fit my Nanuk 909 pistol case perfectly. A little pricey, but better than using a couple of cheap Chinese locks or Master locks. Security is probably not great, Lock Picking Lawyer could probably have them open quickly, but they're locking a plastic case so it that's not particularly relevant.

These locks look bigger in pictures than they are in real life, but dimensions are correct. I'll post a picture of these locks next to a typical gym locker lock for comparison. Even though these are small, they are clearly well made. As you slide in the key, pin engagement in the lock tumbler is very precise, the lock opens and closes with a very crisp click. I have a similarly sized Master lock and it's definitely not the same. This is definitely more than I expected from such a small lock.
