Who is the bad guy?
Even though there were some spelling errors in the book it did not detract from the story line. Samantha stepping in front of the horse whip to stop the drunken man from beating his horse was a unique introduction of the main character. Then you have Coulter rescuing Samantha and you have the first glimpse of the hero and heroine meeting and the first steps of love blossoming. The love story builds and the story takes a couple of twist and ends up being a who done it novel. I read every word and was surprised at who the real culprit was in the poisoning of Samantha's horses. I enjoyed the book and would love to meet Coulter and his brothers in person!!

Great book to join two excellent series!
I loved this book. Actually, I love all of Catherine Anderson's novels. The Kendrick/Coulter/Harrigan series are my favorites. I love the way that everyone is connected in some way.The first book by Catherine Anderson that I read was "Star Bright" which takes place some time after "Sun Kissed." When I started "Sun Kissed" I already knew the characters, and Samantha Harrigan was one of my favorites. I'm glad that she got her own book, and such a good one at that.To those of you who are reading Catherine Anderson for the first time, welcome! You've picked a good author with a number of novels both historical and modern. The mix of animals, romance, family dynamics, religion, and common social problems is perfect.I didn't worry about reading these books in order, but I loved them all just the same and it didn't really matter. I do suggest that you start with "Baby Love," which starts it all with Rafe Kendrick, Maggie, and Jaimie.

Stories are great. I'm going through the whole series
Stories are great. I'm going through the whole series. Lots of repetition between the plots of each book and way too much swearing--praying to God one minute and taking His name in vain the next. I'm on book #9. I am, however, thoroughly enjoying each book, although now I know pretty much what is going to take place in each book. When all is said and done, I've enjoyed the series.

Praise to Amazon and Catherine Anderson
What a great way to enjoy and author. The service from Amazon and their suppliers was exemplary. After ordering 12 books in the series, I just finished the last one early this morning. These came at a great time for me. Thank you. Oh yeah, Ms. Anderson's writing only intensified my love and enjoyment of finally finding the "love of my life". That is no easy task for anyone, and it can only be accomplished with God's help. Thank you Ms. Anderson for recognizing not only the perpetual omnipotence of Our LORD, but the true meaning of being "in love".

this book is a read to enjoy and think about someone beside youself.
I love Catherine Anderson's books. Sun Kissed covered so many feelings and she always makes you see the otherside of a person who may not be like you. (The norm.) I sat up until I finished this book and I've read 3 times since I got the book. I would recommend this book to everyone. Kendrick/Coulter family books are exciting, you can't wait for the next one to find out about the family. I wish the series would never end. I keep wanting to find out what happens next in the family.

Sun Kissed
I loved Sun Kissed as much as I loved all of Catherine Anderson's other books. It made me laugh and cry. It lives up to the Catherine Anderson reputation of wonderfully entertaining and thought provoking books.Unlike some of the other reviewers, I disagree that religion was a dominating factor in Sun Kissed. I am convert to Catholicism, but though I strongly believe in my religion, I believe that each person has a right to worship or not to worship as they wish. I thought that the book was great and that the characters were true to life and endearing. I credit Catherine Anderson with putting up front some of the personal struggles that not only Catholics, but all people (religious or not) go through. Not every woman that stays in an abusive relationship is Catholic, nor does the Catholic church expect abused women to stay in an abusive relationship. Anyone who thinks this is wrong!Yes, there is Catholic guilt, but there is also guilt in protestant, jewish and muslim religions, Catholic do not have an exclusive right to guilt. The Catholic church has it "rules" but so do all other religions and in most cases they are the same. Why is faith so intimidating to some people? We all have a right to believe or not to believe. What we do not have a right to do it to criticize someone elses beliefs or non-beliefs. Since when have religious beliefs become a "taboo"? Where has our value system gone?
