Nice All-In-One System!
Yes...you can probably put together your own set-up for cheaper, but why? The experts at TeaLAB have done all the trial and error and come up with a proven design that gets your tea bubbling! All you have to add is a 5 gallon bucket(food-grade preferred), non-chlorinated water(4 gallons max), your bacteria of choice(I use chicken poo fertilizer-1 liter or so), a sugar to feed the little guys(unsulfured molasses works for me- a couple tablespoons), and an outlet to provide power to the air pump so the bubbling-magic can occur. Be patient and after a couple days of continuous brewing you've got a dark, rich, natural fertilizer for you plants. Just be sure to use it within a few hours after turning off the pump so the bacteria doesn't die from lack of oxygen! My plants look better almost instantly after applying it. I usually just dunk a 1 gallon watering can into the bucket and this allows me to feed both the leaves and the roots. The instructions included are a little lacking, but there's online videos that walk you through the brewing process. They do offer suggestions on a little laminated card(nice touch) for different ingredients you can use. My only reason for the 1-star deduction is that the bubble-snake will try to rise to the top of your bubbling brew. You will need to keep it stabilized with something(see my picture for my impromptu method). Otherwise, very solid kit!Shipping took a little long when you're used to Prime, but you can pay extra for expedited and remember it's coming from the Pacific Northwest!Jae

This product works GREAT!!
This product works GREAT!!! Do not let other people misinform you of the pump noise. I was fooled myself!!!!! Yes, the noise is really loud if you do not put on the air tube. Then, if you put the BubbleSnake in the water, the noise is reduced more to an aquarium pump. The bubbles are huge and works fantastic. It also comes with an easy clamp on bag and instructions.

... a while before stumbling on this kit - it's perfect! Everything but the bucket
I searched for individual parts for a while before stumbling on this kit - it's perfect! Everything but the bucket. The only assembly is a couple of attachments and the hose and it's ready to brew in minutes. The pump is loud, though, I kept it in my garage for the 36 hours of steeping. Too loud to be in the house, even in the basement.

To say the plants enjoy it would be an understatement
A handy, well-designed kit. I make the tea from compost, forest soil, garden soil and worm castings and some other ingredients (a helpful recipe card is provided) and to say the plants enjoy it would be an understatement.

It works great.... Brew away!!
I just received my tea starter kit and started brewing. I as well had an initial issue with keeping the bubbler on the bottom of the bucket until I read the questions and answers from previous buyers. Once I realized what the "O" ring was used for I attached the bag to it and it held down the bubbler to the bottom. I appreciate the question and answer forum, for it really helps out the masses with the same questions.

Good kit
Pretty good tea brewing kit. The pump seems plenty powerful to me and the air tube works great. I've used it twice so far and it produced a good quality tea.

Does the job but they don't last long.
They do the job for the factory shock mounts. I really wish they lasted. This our third set. They get crackly and lose elasticity way too quick in my opinion. I wish they would make them better. We have other shock mounts with different material that have no issues. Maybe its a balance between tension and sound absorbtion?

... the basic kit offered through Tealab + I was super satisfied with their customer service
I am thrilled with my first batch of TeaLab compost tea using the basic kit offered through Tealab + I was super satisfied with their customer service, too. My pump broke down within the first 30 min of my very first batch and I called Tealab and the husband/wife team offered some feedback and made arrangements to have the pump company send me a new pump. I got the new pump within a week and it worked perfectly. I made a batch of compost tea and the bubbler really aerates the water. After 36 hours, the tea smelled earthy and almost fragrant...like rising sourdough bread. I poured the contents into my backpack sprayer and sprayed the whole front and back yard on one bucket of tea. One week later, I am thrilled with the response of my plants, soil and trees. I am sold on doing this on a regular basis. Its easy and you will see the difference! If you need a system, I highly recommend TeaLab for your kit.
