Destroyed my hard disks
This destroyed all my 4x2tb drives i had put there and made it corrupted so windows could not detect it at all. I had my personal files of many years saved on those disks. Please stay away from this product.

Reliable storage companion.
Got this device for INR 8,100 and works decent, fan speed hardly silent enough to notice in room full of people.Transfer write speed with western digital green HDD in windows 7 when connected to USB 2.0 is 25 MB/Sec,where as connected to USB 3.0 is around 50 MB/Sec not kidding at all.5 Bays HDD and all connected in RAID 0 and controlled by USB 3.0 B male to normal A male cable which stretches around 1 metre.I would be happy if orico provide with eSATA connection only part is missing.PS: If you own more than 3TB's switch to GPT in system management settings.

Which is disappointing as this is a physically we'll build enclosure and the drive temps have been good.
Drives keep losing connection and I Have to power cycle the device which causes drive issues as well. Which is disappointing as this is a physically we'll build enclosure and the drive temps have been good.

Great Product - Supports 6TB drives, No heat issues.
This is an awesome product! I purchased this unit after loosing multiple HDDs in my NAS due to overheating issues. It was setup and ready to roll within minutes of out of the box and supports 6TB drives. This unit gets daily usage for the past 6+ months without a single hiccup, I have 4 of the 5 bays full without any hint of overheating. The drive bays feel a little unrefined in my opinion but they seem to accept the drives with no issues, the unit is very quite (41db) this was measured with an android sound meter app. The overall exterior finish is very nice and sleek, I would defiantly purchase this unit again and have since purchased the 2 bay variation for my media box. I would recommend picking up a 10' USB 3.0 Type A to B cable in the event you want to experiment when placement of the unit. I would buy this product again

It worked good for about the first 5 months
Purchased 1 year and 1 month ago (July of 2016). It worked good for about the first 5 months. Then I started having problems with my hard drives. They became corrupted, and only a full re-format would work to get them working properly again. I wanted to rule out it wasn't my PC, I installed a new USB 3.0 card in the PC, still have had it do the same thing a couple more times, with different new WD hard drives. Now, intermittently the fan runs so loud, it sounds like it's about to die. Worked great for the first 5 months, but, having to try and recover data, and reformat hard drives is not so much fun.

Highly recommended for fast, flexible, auxiliary disk storage for PC and MAC.
The ORICO 5 bay case is very well made, and convenient to use. Not tools are required for 3.5" SATA drives - they just pop in and out, and can be secured with a screw lock. I have two, for an iMac and PC respectively. I use bare hard drives for audio/video projects, which take a LOT of disk space. The ORICO lets me keep up to 5 uncased hard drives at a time, and makes it easy to move 4 TB of data from one computer to another without slow internet or sharing options (which work too). That's "sneaker net" on steroids. When hard drives are full of projects, I set them aside for archival reference. With the ORICO, it's easy to remount them when necessary. This is NOT an hot-swap drive. You must dismount and power down to add or remove drives. It is also available as a RAID capable box, which I don't need at present. (I have other large RAIDs for that purpose.) With standard 7200 RPM drives and USB3, I get 100 MB/s transfer speed. With SSD drives, that goes up to over 400 MB/s.
