Big Fred Flintstone Feet
I have searched all over God's creation for the best pair of shoes for a Big Flat Foot. And here they are. These Sidi shoes are perfect for those of us who need room, have inserts for their feet, and need to feel secure in our shoes while riding.I took these shoes for a 50 miler on the first day. No pinching, no pain, and no rubbing. That is a testament to how well these shoes are constructed.Be well and ride safely. And if you can't, just be kind.

Great for people with a wide foot near the toes.
My wife says I have Barney Rubble feet - shaped like wedges being really wide at the ball and toe, and narrow at the heel. These fit better than any other bike shoes I have ever tried. I had even ordered a different pair of Giro shoes in a wide size and they were still too narrow. So I sent them back and got these. They are just a little loose on the heel, but I’m used to to that with my feet.

Sidi Dominates!!!
Love Sidi shoes. I owned Sidi Dominators about 20 years ago and loved them but they wore a little tight around the wide areas of my feet and began to rub and tear into my heals. I got back into mountain biking this year and bought the Trace 2 Mega (knowng i have wide feet) and absolutely love them. The material is so much better than even 20 years ago. It's a soft, yet strong leather, and with the 2 straps and boa at the top, you have plenty of ways to customize the feel. And they re-did the heals on them so they don't rub and soft, plush ..whoot!!! Very little flex on the bottom, which is great for power transfer and giving you a solid feel when clipped in the pedals. Only thing I think that would make these perfect would be if they made cleats on the bottom little softer and more grippy. It's like a hard plastic that can be slippery when climbing up rocky or hard terrain. Great shoe! Would buy again.

Does the job
I have weird and somewhat wide feet. I have a carbon road pair of SIDI and they fit great. After trying on 10+ pairs of different gravel shoes, these are the only ones that fit well. Pros: built well, easy to walk in. Cons: a bit heavy, plastic sole has a bit of flex, the SIDI BOA-Like dial is kind of hard to use and a bit clunky. Overall though, great shoe with just a few flaws.

It's wide -- sort of -- but not really, actually
I rarely write reviews but I wanted to explain my experience with this product, hopefully to help others. If you are reading this, then you probably have very wide feet like me. That's the attraction of the "Mega" version. When I first first put these on, I was pleasantly surprised how roomy the toe box was. Lots of wiggle room! The shoe leather did not bind the front of my feet tightly, as do most (regular width) shoes. I was very optimistic. But after wearing it around the house for an hour, I started to realize that this was not going to work. The inside 1/4 of both big toes were off the edge of the shoe platform. It was starting to annoy me just to walk around. I know that if I were wearing these while pedaling hard, this would start to hurt.I realized then that this "wide" shoe is actually not wide. The bottom platform (where your feet touch the ground) is not wide at all. What gives the impression of "wide" is simply that there is more leather attached to the bottom platform. I started reading more about this topic online, and one author said this type of shoe is "high volume", not "wide". That makes perfect sense to me.I will be returning this pair and looking for a genuinely wide riding shoes.I must say I was impressed with the general appearance and craftsmanship of Sidi -- it is a beautiful product. I so wish this was something that would work for me. I am confident that I am making the right decision to return it, at least for the degree of wide feet that I have.

It was a beautiful shoe but
It was a beautiful shoe but I am normally a 13 EEE show and a 49 Wide Bike shoe and I ordered the 14 Wide of this biking shoe. Appearance wide it was a very nice shoe. But when I tried it on, it seemed narrow and the sole of the shoe was not comfortable at all. At $249 I expected them to feel like a slipper. I will stick to my old shoes now till I find something for these wide feet.

Finally, shoes wide enough for my feet
This is my forth pair of "wide size" shoes. I have pretty wide feet in the toes area. None of my other shoes feels comfortable after 1~2 hours of cycling. Compare to Shimano XC3 - wide (45E), the Sidi Trace 2 MTB Mega (44) is wider and much roomier in the toes area. The one knob + 2 velcro straps work perfectly to locally fit my foot shape. Very nice quality feel. Definitely worth the little extra bucks for all of these. Finally, I have shoes for long rides.1 week update - 2 trips of 2 hours 50km+ very comfortable, fit well and no pinch point. I am confident to wear them all day long.

Comfy
Wide fitting as required for the neuromas in my feet. Also keep my feet reasonably dry unless there’s standing water(wet due to sock saturation). Nice tightening mechanism. Very pleased. Took a wee while to stop turning my ankles when walking in them, although I did have the same issue with stilettos at first ☺️

Sidi Trace 2 MTB Mega Shoes
These are the best shoes I've purchased ever. I have wider feet than most and have always struggled with ill-fitting shoes. Other well-known brands claim their shoes to have a wide fit but NO! The Techno 3 ratchet system winds tension down perfectly and works beautifully in tandem with both velcro straps. The only negative about the Sidi brand is the difficulty in getting hold of spare shoe parts. Other than that this is a well-designed bit of kit.
