What percentage of this product is actualy Molybendum?

By formula (atom-for-atom), this material is~5.3% Molybdenum. Breaks down as 2 Sodium, 1 Molybdenum, 8 Oxygen, 8 Hydrogen atoms. I purchased it for its anti-corrosive properties to protect a central hydronic heating system consisting of Iron, Copper and Aluminum elements. Hope this helps.

Couldn't you just burn logs and spread the ashes on your garden?

Wood Ash is incredibly alkaline. It will kill acid-loving plants in short order. However, in small quantities it will act as a natural buffering agent, and, again, added to compost in small quantities it will speed decomposition - a good thing. Key is SMALL QUANTITIES!
