Quilters Dream Wool Batting (93'' x 72") Twin

I love quilting with this wool. It's soft and easy to work with. And the package says it's machine washable and dryable (on cool setting), but I haven't put any quilts in the dryer. Wool is a wonderful batting for quilts, because of the characteristics of wool: it's warm but it breathes; it wicks moisture away; it's warm even when wet. Poly batting doesn't breathe, hence it gets too hot. Did I mention how soft this wool batting is to handle?

First time I used wool batting from Quilter's Dream. It feels lighter than most, easy to work with and has a beautiful loft. Perfect for to show off the quilting. This will be my favorite batting from now on.

This batting arrived just when I was told it would, and it is perfect! Just what I expected and wanted.

This was the first time I've used wool batting for one of my hand-quilted quilts. It was a dream to hand-quilt with this batting, as all the reviews stated. My one drawback is the inability to wash in warm water or put in the dryer on anything but low or air dry. I like to wash my quilts after finishing to get that bit of shrinkage to give it that heirloom feel. I used this for a quilt for my 13-year old granddaughter and she loved the soft feel to this quilt. It definitely has a different loft to "Warm & White" cotton batting I have used for all my other quilts. This was so much easier to hand quilt with, but if washing and drying restrictions are a problem, probably not the batting for you.

Love this mid loft batting! Quilt came out great and is nice and warm without the weight of cotton. Is machine washable. I can't see myself using anything else in the future.

I used this for a warmer quilt for my daughter's bed. It took a bit of adjustment as I had only quilted with cotton batting before, but I love the end result. Just enough loft for a nice fluffy quilt.

I purchased this in late 2014 for use in my first handmade quilt. I was trying to recapture the quilts my grandmother made which always had wool batting. My first disappointment was the loft which is non-existent but I decided to use it anyway. I thought the quilt turned out rather well though flatter than I'd hoped. Then I washed it. After washing it looked like I shaved an animal on it. I try not to wash it often but in the last couple years I think I've spent more time picking and rolling fuzz from it than I did making it in the first place.

Love this stuff! Lightweight and easy to work with. Perfect for Arizona.
