In that time, I have used leather ropes, speed ropes and an expensive beaded rope. Your rope has exceeded all expectations. It is by far the superior rope. It is very responsive and I find I can do a few moves that I couldn't do with the other ropes. I am very happy with the purchase. Thanks, Gary. Comment 29 people found this helpful. I have been using a jump rope for a couple years as part of some boxing training. I used a buddy lee speed and would say I'm pretty decent. Now that I'm getting into crossfit workouts and double unders I am looking for a cable speed rope. It is just physics that a thin wire rope will be faster than a PVC cord. I can do double unders and even triple unders with the Buddy Lee PVC rope but this thin wire rope makes it easier. Now as far as these wire coated speed ropes go there seem to be 3 tiers to buy on amazon 1- the plastic swivel ones that go for 7-12 dollars. They use a plastic tip bushing and don't have that 360 ball head that the next tier do 2nd tier- start around 12 and for 15-16 dollars come with a second wire rope. They tend to have a metal swivel bearing that attaches to the plastic handle and a 360 ball swivel that the actual rope cord goes through. For the couple of extra dollars people should get this over the basic one. Tier 3- 30 dollars and up. Alum handles, double bearings (one above and one below the cord) for smother action. The WOD Nation speed rope is in the Tier 2 area. There are similar ropes for the same price, that look the same, have the same options, come with and extra rope , extra cable locks, a bag , etc. I can't say if another brand that looks the same functions the same, but from the looks it seems they are all made in the same factory in China. What I like about this rope is its fast, or at least faster than my buddy lee, and also faster than some tier 1 plastic swivel ropes at my gym. Another plus is the wire coated cable is not that rigid. Some other reviews mentioned this, I don't think it will kink as easy as some other wire ropes I've used. For the price it seems like the best deal. Dislike-. One handle has better/smoother bearings than the other. If I hold the metal tip and give the plastic handle a good spin it spins for 3 seconds with a lot of turns (50 ish). When I try it with the other handle it spins for .5 seconds and only rotates maybe 3-5 complete turns. I find quality control lacking when items are made for cheaply overseas. I have contacted this company and I'm confident they will send me handles that work as they were meant to. If not I can always return to amazon in 30 days. If both handles spun smoothly and freely this would get 4 stars. I'm sure the majority that get made do and this is just one of a small percentage that were manufactured poorly. If and when the situation is rectified I'll be sure to update my review *Edit- Wrote this review and sent the company a message. Got a reply a day later, on Christmas, that a new rope would be sent to me. I'll have to wait for the rope to get here to see how the bearings work on this one before I update to 4 stars. But that is excellent customer service. **WOD Nation sent me a whole new speed rope. I received it in a couple days. Customer service is great. The new rope's handles however did not spin that well. They were good but not fluid. So I decided to take the handles apart and see what I could do. There are 2 ball bearing units in each handle. On of the ball bearings in the slow original handle was broken, so thats why it was slow. I used some silicone sewing oil to lubricate the rest of the ball bearing units and handles turn so much smoother. I asked WOD Nation if that could just send me 1 ball bearing unit to replace the broken one, however they do not have any parts. Only complete units are sent directly from overseas. I can't really complain about that as I was sent a whole extra rope. I've up my rating to 4 stars as the rope is very decent for the price. And the customer service is very good. I had to use my time to take them apart and add lubrication but to me that was not a big deal I've included a pic of the disassembled handle. It has 2 ball bearing units, a black spacer, the tip piece with the 360 ball swivel in it, and a screw.

This is the perfect speed rope for a beginner learning to do Doubleunders. The ball and socket mechanism on the handle lets the rope turn smoothly. Easily adjustable to your own height and preference. If you are just learning to use the jump rope, it's better to leave it a little longer to give you more room to clear the rope as you jump. Once you master the doubleunders you can adjust the rope without the need to purchase a new one. It also comes with a spare cable, which is a big plus if you need to replace it for any reason.

This was my first speed rope I ever bought and it was a great purchase! It lasted me for YEARS, and the added bonus that it came with a replacement wire made it last even longer! You do have to occasionally check the locking mechanism as sometimes it would come a bit loose. A few times the wire and handle came apart while I was using it, but thankfully I was indoors so I was able to relocate the screws, but it could have potentially been very dangerous as the wire rope went flying. The rope is very lightweight, and was a good rope to learn double unders with, although I would recommend a different rope if that’s what you’re exclusively looking to accomplish. Overall, good value for the money.

This is a really good deal! One set of handles, two ropes, two set sof hardware and one bag to take it on the go. the hardware allows you to set the exact length of rope for your body height. I stated a jumping rope program last year in starting on October 24th. I've jumped for 5 to 7 minutes each session five days a week (Sometimes four days, other times six days depending on my schedule). I've already ripped through the casing of the first rope. Understandable given the amount of jumping I've done in my basement. Still, nice to know this is can be easily replaced as it's so affordable.:) It is well made.:) This is probably the best cardio workout I've ever done and I'm seeing results. After 10 months, I'm finally in a rhythm and can jump for two to two and half minutes without tripping up (on a good day. Mostly, I'm good for one to two minutes) Not bad for a guy who turns 59 this November.:) For the money, you get a lot.:)

Best purchase ever ! Easy to adjust the size, plus it brings 2 so if you break one you have and extra one .

Got to use this a small amount but already see the rubber coating around the cable is just getting destroyed after very short use , so make sure you are jumping on some very soft material that will slow down that process or you will be stuck in wire buying loop non stop. Other then that it seems to be good, I love the mechanism they use to keep the wire from getting tangled if you jump for a long time , handles are extremely light which can be a con or a pro depending on what you are looking for , and the steel cable wire is kind of tough to cut and nothing is provided in the kit for you to cut that , so make sure you have very sharp pliers of snappers to trim it to your height.

Pros: - Lightweight, fast rope that will get you the double-unders you desire - Instructional videos make setting up your rope to your measurements easy and included helpful how-to exercise videos - Price, which includes extra hardware and a second rope - Colour options, bought green because I thought it would decrease the chance of it being stolen (still hasn't been stolen) Cons: - The cable is good quality and therefore will leave bruises on shins and triceps when you're first learning to do double-unders - Plastic handles are cheaper than other models I've tried but haven't broken after over 5 months of use - Small silicone pieces meant to keep the handles near the ends of the rope tend to slide toward the middle of the rope which can cause the rope to shorten while in use Overall: I went from never having done a double-under to cranking out 30 in one month with this rope. Highly recommend this product based on the quality, helpful videos, and extra hardware they provide. Thank you WOD Nation.

Extremely smooth. Bettered my double under personal best within just two days of usage

Top Etwas leicht aber sonst klasse

Es sin duda una gran cuerda, yo no soy un experto y la cuerda a pesar de ser para gente con nivel, me ha sido sencillo utilizarla. Trae repuestos y detalles que ninguna otra trae.
