Dorman idler pulley 419-605 fits the 5.4l Triton on my 1999 Ford F-150
Just installed the pulley. Super easy to do so just undo the serpentine belt tensioner and undo the one bolt holding it in place. It is a little wider than the stock OEM which I think is totally fine because of any play in the belt will be still slid across the surface of it effectively. Will update more if anything comes up or issues arise or if everything is just hunky-dory smooth

Eliminated engine whine on my 1999 Ford Expedition
I had an engine whine that matched the RPMs on our 1999 Ford Expedition. I had the power steering pump serviced, but the whine was still there. A video on YouTube led me to properly diagnose the engine whine. This problem is commonly miss-diagnosed. I ordered the replacement pulley (lots of choices out there, but I went with the cheapest). When it arrived in the mail, I was a bit skeptical that the part is made in China (why I removed one star). I considered returning it and getting a pulley made in the USA, but I was short on time and needed the vehicle back in action. Plus, the vehicle has over 150K miles on it, so I figure it will last as long as I have the vehicle, hopefully another 50K miles. In preparation for the repair, I bought a serpentine belt tool from Harbor Freight to make rotating the tensioner and removing the belt easier. It was a good thing because the bolt for the idler pulley was so tight that I needed the same tool to (carefully) get the bolt off the engine. In the end, though, I'm happy with the replacement idler pulley. The engine whine is gone.

Good product.
Fit well on my 01 Dodge 2500 with a 360 in it. It is the right size. A little wider, but that is of no consequence. fits and runs just the same. Dorman is a good jobber replacement for OEM.

Metal Idler
Perfect fit for 1999 Ford F 150 5.4 Triton. Even though it is made in China it runs very smooth. It is metal not plastic which is a plus for me. Standard 6203 bearing if it fails.
