Super helpful for broken foot
This was a complete lifesaver for me. I broke my foot, but am still able to bathe since I'm in a walking boot. Our shower has corner benches, but it was hard to get up and down because they're so small, and it just overall wasn't comfortable for too long. Washing my hair was a chore, even with a handheld showerhead. And maneuvering around the shower on one foot was exhausting. So my husband suggested getting one of these, and this is the one that seemed most promising. I liked that it could fold so it would be out of the way when he showers. I'm not sure about the reviewers who said it was hard to fold/reopen. I've been using it for about 7 weeks now without issue. My husband folds it up before his shower in the morning and then opens it back up for me after he's done. Says he's never had trouble with it. No, it will not fit in a bathtub, but it fits great in our shower stall. Completely sturdy - I'm about 250lbs and I never feel like it's going to collapse under me, even though I was sitting down pretty hard on it the first week or so. I was surprised at how angled it was, but we just adjusted the legs so it only tilts forward a smidge. Doesn't slide around while I'm using it either, but moves easily if I need to adjust it while standing. Would highly recommend to anyone who can't stand in the shower. I'm able to hop in, turn and sit, and angle the showerhead so the water hits my head the same as normal.

Its a Must Buy
First things first! I purchased this because I fell down some stairs and my right ankle is a hot swollen bruised mess! The price is perfect for this shower chair, because of how durable and sturdy it is. I have a shower/bathtub with that being said it fits well and I feel totally comfortable & safe, considering I have wide hips! I gave this product 4 stairs because I have not been able to fold it back so its an inconvenience because I can't fold it up!

Failed in less than a year of normal use.
Cannot recommend at this time. One star because it was nice while it worked. Failed in less than a year. 80lbs less than max weight. The fasteners popped out of the plastic and the main pivot tube almost popped out and collapsed. Reached out to Manufacturer for resolution per their “lifetime” warranty. One star at the moment. Will update. Update 16APR26: Manufacturer is taking details of failure as well as proof of purchase from Amazon and formulating a solution for replacement. Will update again if successful. Update 23APR26: Manufacturer is standing by their product. Cautioned about making sure the vendor is Drive for any further purchases but dropped shipped a new shower chair. 100% can recommend now. Increasing to 5 stars!!!

Works well in a shower stall
Some of the negative reviews of this bath bench made me nervous. For that reason I had purchased a non-folding bath bench, but I really didn't like that one as it took up a lot of space when not in use and was difficult to adjust. I found that none of the complaints on this model have been an issue for me. I'm using this in a shower stall and it fits just fine. It was easy to assemble and folds up fairly compact. Adjusting the height is easy. It's very stable and easy to set up and fold away. I saw some complaints that it was difficult to set up correctly, but I found it's actually more difficult to not set it up correctly. The legs are clearly marked A or B and where they attach are clearly marked A or B. Adjusting the height is easy. When you unfold it, it snaps securely into place. It's take a little bit of effort, but it does unfold fairly easily as well. The feet hold firmly and do not slide around the bottom of the stall. The drain holes and textured surface keep water from pooling and prevent you from sliding around. I find this to be a good value and wish I purchased this one first instead of the non-folding one I started with.

A bath bench that doesn't fit in a bathtub. Ridiculous.
UPDATE: I went to start a return and this item is NOT returnable! I am left to my own devices to try to get the manufacturer to take it back and they won't. I am furious. If you REALLY feel you need this, carefully check all measurements a few times before you do because once you get it, it's yours even if it nearly kills you. Review: As many other reviewers have said, this folding shower bench does't quite fit in a traditional bathtub. I can't figure out why on earth Drive Medical would not have measured a standard tub and made this thing fit. I need a bath bench temporarily because I had cochlear implant surgery recently and my balance is off. I don't want to risk falling. I need one that folds because space is limited and I don't have room for a big shower seat. This one fit the bill so I got it - without reading the reviews. Not smart. It doesn't sit flush on the tub floor. The feet are just a tad too wide so they sit on one side right but, on the other side, they are raised a bit because they are hitting the tub wall. To be fair, the leg extenders are easy to put on and the height is adjustable. I have no problems folding the bench. It folds like a TV tray. It seems to be sturdy enough for me. I did not shower with it. I just sat on it with my husband nearby in case it tipped over. I am 130 pounds and I don't rely heavily on the seat. I have my feet planted on the tub floor and could stand up if I felt the bench was not stable. I probably could use this but it would rock a little. The question is, would the legs give way and collapse causing me injury? I can't risk that. This bench would probably suffice in a shower stall or wider tub if you're not too heavy and and don't need help with propping up your back and handles to help you to stand up. It's bare bones. And it's stupid because they made the legs just a tinnnyyy bit too wide to securely fit into a tub and didn't tell anyone that. I have to send it back although I could probably manage to use it and deal with the wobbliness. But I paid for something to keep me safe in the shower, not to risk busting my head open each time I use it. I would not recommend it to anyone even if it did fit well. This one was and is disappointing. *I cannot return this so I threw away $33.00.. Don't be like me. Buy something else.

Drive Medical folding bath bench
Perfect for my use of relaxing in small shower. Originally, I bought a non-folding Medline Guardian bath bench, but legs were spread apart too far (19") so it was cumbersome to get in and out of shower and pushed the bench too far from shower wall. On this bench, the back legs are even with the back of the bench so that the bench can be close to the shower wall. Front legs stick out further, but not enough to be in the way. Bench folds, so easy to get in and out of shower and easy to store. Have not tried using in bath. Some reviews have mentioned chair folding up when sitting down on it. I think this is due to improper use. Legs are securely held in front metal catch when care is taken to place legs in catch. If you just flop the chair open and immediately sit down without checking catch, it could possibly collapse. This may make this chair not a good choice for elderly who would need help with preparing chair.

Excellent stool, I feel safe and secure when using it
Brilliant. This stool is a good size without being bulky - I'm little, and it's ideal for me (4ft11), but will easily suit taller people. It's very secure, doesn't wobble or slip and it's comfortable. The hand grips at each side are useful. Easy to fold away after use (we leave it to dry first), easy to open as needed. Wipes clean very quickly. Height can be adjusted. It's perfect for me, happy to recommend.

Perfect in every way.
A neighbour lent my wife an identical stool while we waited for delivery of this one. It is absolutely ideal for the job. Very sturdy and easy to put together when received. I recommend it. This supplier was half the price of a local shop, and cheaper than others on Amazon.
