I ordered a 2 pack of the Ballcap Buddies. They are quiet big for a dishwasher. That is, the two of them take up 2/3 of the space on the top rack of my large dishwasher. I have used them once. I made sure that I had pre-rinsed all the dishes in the dishwasher so food didn't get in the caps (my dishwasher is good enough quality that I usually don't have to pre-wash). I washed one hat that was my "my hair's a greasy mess, and I need to hide it" hat and one that was somewhat dirty from use and dusty from storage. After washing, the hats were clean, but they had what I determined to be salts from sweat that appeared on the outside of the caps. It was also on the inside band. It appears that it soaked to the outside from the inside. I was able to scrape this salt residue off using my fingernail. Also, the caps weren't dry, even though I used heated dry in the dishwasher, so I have a dryer that has an optional rack in it for drying things that you don't want to "tumble". I placed the hats (still in the Ballcap Buddies) in the dryer 20 minutes, on low temperature, on that stationary rack, and the hats were dry afterwards.Somethings to be aware of, the directions EMPHASIZE that you cannot use lemon scented dishwashing detergent when washing your hats (It doesn't say why). Also, read the directions for instructions on how to open the "cage".All in all, I am happy with the Ballcap Buddies I bought, but they are inconvenient to use, since you really have to think ahead while loading the dishwasher, making sure to leave room due to their size and I believe not prewashing the dishes could be a problem if food particles get on the hat(s). Also, since they are large, I have to figure out where I'm going to store them???

Lacks durability.

Use this product to wash my hubby's ball caps in the washing machine without the caps losing their shape that my hubby wants them to have. Easy to use product whether in a front load washing machine, you can use it in a bucket, or sink of water to wash the baseball 🧢 caps.

I use this in my dishwasher, and the caps come out clean.

We ordered 2 of them so we could wash a two caps at the same time.We followed the instructions provided, we placed our team baseball caps in the Cap Shapers and placed them on the top rack of our dishwasher.We washed them using NON-lemon dishwashing detergent, and set the drying feature to ‘off’.Just like that, magic! I wash my hats by hand, and the Ballcap Buddy helps to maintain the overall shape when air drying. Does what I wanted. Recommended. (Note: the insert clearly states the Buddy should not be used in washers with a center agitator.)

We have needed one of these for some time now. Glad to be able to wash some hats. I used my EI washer instead of the dishwasher just to make things clear on this review.The hats shifted within the framing. Wish there were clips or a means to secure the brim on each side of the crown. I'll need to think of something myself in the meantime. Otherwise I am having to stop the washer and reposition the hats within the framework.Overall I did get the hats cleaner and glad to have fresh smelling hats on his head.
