great pallet, here's how I use each well.
This palette is very big, almost a little too big but I do enjoy the spacious Wells for mixing. I am a watercolor artist, so this is how I use the palette: I put my pure colors fresh out of the tube into the smallest circular Wells. The four flat Square Wells are good for mixing colors when you want them to stay a little bit separate from each other. The four large circular Wells are perfect for mixing colors when you want them to stay mixed together because they run down into the middle of the well. The circular Wells are also good for mixing watery washes. The sloped Square Wells are good for when you want a thicker mix at the top, and adding water to let the thinner mix run down the slope. probably a little too big for traveling with, but not much bigger than a 9 by 12 watercolor block, so It's not too bad. Overall an awesome pallet, and I'm very glad I got it! One reviewer recommended scrubbing the wells with the scrubby side of a sponge to rough them up, so that the paint will not bead. I think that's a good idea and I will try it. The plastic seems nice and heavy, and I did not notice any coating as one reviewer mentioned. The wells do stain a little, but it doesn't affect the next color so I don't mind. However, I think if I did scrub them with a scrubby sponge, they might stain even more than they do now. Overall a great palette, and I would purchase again. Awesome price too!

Just What I Needed
This palette is perfect for the large amounts of paints that I want to blend ahead of time and keep throughout a portion of a painting, such as backgrounds which take more paint than could be blended in the small wells alone. The small wells do come in handy when I'm mixing up a different hue of a background color. I really like the ease with which this cleans up, but mostly, I like the amount of paint I can mix, work with, and then add water to it when I'm done for the day, and then cover over with foil. Even if the paint isn't the exact consistency I want when I go back to it, all I need do is add a little more water, wait a few minutes and I'm back in business. It would be great if this came with it's own cover, but the foil works just fine and the palette is easy to clean, especially the round wells. This was just what I needed and I do recommend this tray for anyone who must work with amounts of paint that are a bit more than the average palette can hold.

Large, sturdy palette for a great price
Great palette!I've begun painting (mainly watercolors, occasionally acrylics) and I wanted a larger palette with many different wells. This isn't exactly what I had in mind but it was a great price; I didn't realize just how expensive a palette could be.In the end, I am pretty happy this palette. The middle square pans are good. 4 of those are sloped while the other 4 are flat. And I like the small circle wells - I usually place my most used colors in there and mix colors in the other wells. But I wish the large circle wells were replace with 8 more small circle wells. But its a small gripe. Also, this palette is made of a strong, stiff plastic and it cleans up easily with water and a cloth. This may be large for travel if you are a painting minimalist as it is larger than a sheet of paper.

Good, but stains.
I use this for watercolor mostly and I clean it after every use but it stains really bad. Especially with darker colors or like any color really. No good for violet. But it’s good for mixing paint. Also it’s frikin huge. Like idk why I thought it would be small cause it’s not. Like the measurements are in the title. But I still like it a lot. Just sucks that it stains.

Great buy, sturdy. Nice assortment of wells.
I love this tray, it seemed large at first but im glad i went with this one. So many wells to choose from and they are all a good size. The square wells ( near the small circles) have a slant bottom so the liquid can flow to one side. The other 4 square wells are deep and very helpful, i also like the large circles for mixing. Sturdy plastic construction can use for watercolor, acrylic or oil.

Very Nice Palette for this Beginner
Perfect. Lots of wells, lots of sizes, and easy to clean. It is a stiff plastic, like melanin, so it is smooth and doesn't flex when you press into it. I'm a beginner so I am not very good at blending the colors. This palette gives me lots of room to make some mistakes without ruining the ones I think I got right. Maybe, if I get better, I can get a smaller one, but for now, I need this big one so that my "learning experiences" don't stop me from working.

Big and Messy
The plastic is hard and noisy. Several watercolors have stained it. Shortly after buying this, I bought a big porcelain palette and haven't used this one since. There is room to mix washes for wide brushes. The layout with pairs of small well next to big ones is very convenient for mixing. It takes up a lot of room and the shallowness of the big wells make is precarious to move when full.

Gets the job done
I’ve used this palate for about 2-3 months now and for the price it’s really good! I wouldn’t say it’s the most outstanding paint palate in the word but for its price it’s really good! It gets the job done and cleans well, however it does stain your palate. I’m not sure if it’s the paints I used on the palate or the material but it did stain for me. It isn’t a problem for me though because the palate is still clean it just has some color spots on it :)

Good for a certain type of watercolour style
If what you are after is the ability to put tube colour onto the flat surface and then mix into the wells this works really well.

High quality palette.
Very nice palette, plenty of space! While it will still stain if you are using certain reds or blues, it is easy to clean with either wet or dried acrylic paint on it. More of a palette for sitting on a surface than being held which is the way I work anyway. Very nice and so was the price.I am fairly sure you wouldn't want to sit, step crush th9is thing as I am certain given enough force it will crack. I haven't tested this theory and hope I don't.

Great palette
I bought this palette because it was the one used by the instructor of an online watercolour course I'm taking. It works very well for mixing colours - lots of space on it… I was actually surprised by how big it is in real life!

Big Wells + Big 13*10" palette + Difficult to clean
First impression - Wow great size just as advertised and very neat variety-shaped wells.Design wise....super!Second impression - Umm the plastic is pretty thin and I'm going to have to be careful NOT to put anything to heavy on top of it as for sure, it will crackThird impression - Acrylic + Watercolors definitely STAIN the plastic. While the staining is not a tragedy and one can get most of the stain out, I'm inclined to be a little disenchanted - it just doesn't look pretty with all those odd stains in the plastic wells. I guess that explains the the $5+ price paid as an Add-On!Opinion - I would rather pay a little more, get a thicker palette and one that does not stain on first use.Satisfaction - Sure I can work with this. The size works for me and there are plenty of wells. Just wish I had tested it out before buying a SECOND one or read *problem* reviews further down the page !!For $11 I'm sure I could have found a more sturdy model - just saying.

Great product
As expected, super nice and spacious! Haven't used it yet so could update my rating later and comment on the durability and if it's easy to clean or not. But good looking in overall :)
