Petmate 23668 Pet Supplies Dog Leashes- Leads

My dogs and I love this product! Every day I take my two dogs (a medium German Shepherd and a strange medium mutt) with me on a bike ride. This used to entail holding on to two different leashes as I tried to hold on to the handle bars. Now I hold on to both dogs with on leash.Some reviewers have downgraded this product - and other similar products - because their "dogs were pulling them" (or the other dog) all over the place. A tool like this does not replace the need to leash train your dog!!! Never let your dog pull you or you'll start a terrible habit he'll have for life. I waited until my second dog learned that pulling would get her nowhere before considering walking the to together** when we go for our bike ride, the dogs wear harnesses designed for pulling, so I will let them pull me and my bike, but you have to have a bit of control or they will pull you after a squirrel or down a ravine!Anyway, thanks for the product! I probably should have ordered the 1" or 1 1/2" model just because I am afraid it will eventually wear, but I am pleased with it.

I'm using this to "test" my Shiba Inu on a martingale. She's not really prone to escaping her harness or trying to, now that she's getting used to walks, so I figure this is a pretty safe bet for trying "just a collar." Basically I have one hook short and one hook long, and put the short one on her collar and the long one on the harness. Ideally, the leash will pull more at the collar, and then if she were to wiggle out of it the harness is still secure as a backup. Great in theory, but the two leads don't adjust nearly enough...it ends up being her harness that's being pulled by the leash most of the time, despite that I've got it as tight on the collar one and as loose on the harness one as possible. I bought this one specifically because it could adjust, so a little disappointing. The quality seems good, not much to complain about, I just wish it was more adjustable. I might fix it myself and make one of them shorter...pays to sew!

I have two 5 month old Shih Tzu puppies. Taking them out for a walk was absolutely nerve-wracking especially with those retractable leashes. I'd get wound up like the old-school spin tops. I've since ditched the retractable...frustrating waste of time to detangle and went with two separate leashes of the same material as this product. That was nice but then I felt like Stretch Armstrong as the two never really wanted to be exactly near each other when they were outside (quite unlike when in the house). I mean not that they are strong enough to actually stretch me I felt bad when they would get yoked because I would only reach so far with a limited reach leash. So, I got this. LOVELY! Well, now they have to get used to walking side-by-side but it is so much better. I would not recommend this for the walk outside to use the potty but for walking in the park or down the block. They need their space at least right now during those private moments.

I'm actually using this for a purpose it's not intended for, but it has worked great for me, so I wanted to leave a positive review. I have a very strong-pulling dog who I recently purchased a dual-connector harness for (one hook in the front, one in the traditional placement, on the neck). The harness is intended to be used with a dual-ended leash, but that's not practical for me because I prefer to walk him & my other dog hooked to the same leash (using another connector). I purchased this coupler & when shortened to its minimum length, it works great for attaching to both ends of his harness. He's a strong dog and I've had no problems with wear & tear or the coupler not being strong enough. I definitely recommend this, though it might be a little short if you are using it for its intended purpose of connecting two dogs.

This thing is pretty terrible. Maybe your dogs are extremely docile and never venture more than a few feet apart from each other. If so, this is the dual walker for you. If your dogs are more like mine and like to mark their territory, bark at other dogs, and sniff things, then you will stop and turn around after 10 minutes and declare "never again". I didn't give it one star because I suppose that if you had older or more docile dogs, it would work fine. I also gave it an extra star because it kept my toddler occupied long enough for me to write this review without her trying to snatch my smartphone out of my hand. It deserves something for that feat.

We have two dogs and have always wanted to try something that would enable myself or my husband to walk them alone without having to use both hands. This product made that possible! It is a high quality product that keeps our dogs from becoming tangled when we walk them. The attachment spins when one of our dogs decides that they want to switch sides during walking. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to walk two dogs at once, hassle free!

I haven't actually used it yet but it is exactly what I was looking for and the best price. I like the fact that I can use the leashes that I already own whether it is a regular leash or and extender leash. I dont know how it is for bigger dogs because I am around smaller dogs for most of the time. but sometimes I have 3 dogs at once so this will help with keeping the leashes from getting all tangled together!

Works as it is supposed to, just wish that it could be adjusted to be longer. I have two small dogs - a Yorkie and a MaltiPoo - and they are pretty much urinating on each other and do not have enough space from each other to defecate.
