Great
Wonderful book. Amazing series. The Drake Sisters books were all great and this one, the last of the series, really topped it off. Now to read the next series by Christine Feehan.

WOW!
What a ride this whole series is! This book is the final book in the Drake Sisters series, and is chocked full of action, danger, renewal, family love and humor. What a great wrap up to the series! Now on to the Sisters of the Heart series.

loved the series
I absolutely love the storyline of all seven Drake sisters books. Well worth the read! I hope Christine Feehan writes a sequel as there is still the biker brother to worry about and Ilya’s brother. Plus it would be hilarious to see how the various men in the Drake family deal with being fathers.

surprised but NOT disapointed!
I must say I was surprised by the beginning of the book. The treatment of Ellie was not what I had expected. As I read further on, however, I realized that although I would have loved to seen Ellie have a wonderful happy sweet story with no sadness at all, this story has a lot to offer. As someone who has survivied abuse, I can say that this story shows what a woman can go through, and still stay strong. Yes, she almost gave up, many others would have. For those who felt it was appaling -- grow up. This stuff happens in real life and to read a story about someone who has lived it, survived it and had her HEA, that is inspiring. No one believes that in real life the surviver will be able to overcome what has happened in a few days. She will not go back to normal, nor be able to have a sexual relationship as fast as Ellie did. And perhaps Ms. Feehan should have drug it out; for me it works, this is a fiction, I don't expect it to be realistic in all aspects.I saw a side of Jackson that was revealing -- his childhood, his teen years, what he experienced as a soldier -- they all helped him to be able to help Ellie. I don't think Ellie could have survived what she did and healed as quickly if he hadn't. I find it interesting that everyone is complaining about how poor Ellie was treated but not about Jackson. Why did he have to have such a horrible life, why was he tortured as a soldier, shame on Ms. Feehan for doing that! How horrible of her! Sheesh, grip about Ellie, but not Jackson!, shame (in case I am misunderstood, my remarks are for the posters who complained about Ellie's treatment; not to Ms. Feehan). Now as for my opinion of the story. Good writing, I enjoy this series, the Carpathians and am looking forward to the soon to be written brothers series. I don't care much for the Ghostwalker series, I am not wild about military stories, and they fit into that category. The plot was good, I found that it flowed easily, I enjoyed the blending of the other members of the family, yet allowed Jackson and Ellie to have the main interest. I liked the marrying off of all the sisters at the end, it gave a good closure for the series. I enjoyed how Sid was able to escape, and the ending set it up for the new series. When she had Ilya see his brother (as he escaped at the island) I am curious of how he was able to recognize Ilya. Ilya said Sid looked like his father, so that would have helped him. But Ilya was a young boy when taken, would his brother have remembered him, what he looked like? Or had he seen pictures of him and knew what he looked like?I am torn between wanting to have seen Ellie fight him in a battle of "powers" or what Ms. Feehan did, show that the power of love is the strongest power of all.All in all, a good finish for the series, I think those who skip it will lose out, but that is their choice.JLYates

Fantastic ending to the Drake Sisters!
Hidden Currents is Book 7 (final book 😭) in the Sea Haven: Drake Sisters series by Christine Feehan @authorcfeehan. This is a re-read of the series for me. Elle is the 7th daughter of the 7th daughter & carries all the abilities in her to pass down to her daughters & Jackson is a former sniper, currently a deputy sheriff & is telepathic. Elle is kidnapped & the kidnapper is telepathic so he has a blocker around his house so Elle can’t contact anyone. She is raped repeatedly, tortured - physically & mentally. All her sisters, their men, friends of the guys & Jackson find her by a physic bridge. They rescue her. She is obviously tormented by her memories. 😭Jackson is there for her. Her kidnapper finds her by telepathy. 😳 The guys come up with a plan to sink her kidnapper’s yacht the day of Elle & Jackson’s wedding so no one can be implicated in his death. The sisters all get married the day Elle & Jackson do. Happily ever after! 💜

Very compelling read
I have to say, I have been a bit surprised at the negativecomments on this book. I was also shocked by the complicated and graphic story line but I feel I see where this was coming from. (I have read the book twice so i could get a feel for the story past the horrific torture Elle went through) We tend to gloss over what does not affect us directly but an avid reader will be immersed in the story and 'feel' the emotion of the character. The biggest issue, to me, was the relationship you had to have the imagination to see between Jackson and Elle. They have been in telepathic communication for years and know each other intimately even if you take out the actual physical coming together. Being in someone else’s mind is much more intense. The battle of personalities involved is also a point to remember, they are in a power struggle with each other that has led to some bad decisions on both of their parts. They love each other deeply but have issues understanding one another as they have walls of pride between them until Elle’s capture. She cannot fully understand Jackson's POW experience and the scars and fear he bears until this happened. I can totally understand the situation here and the turmoil that both of them are going through. Elle had to have someone to trust herself to or be recaptured or killed. She shows great strength of character that she would, with Jacksons support, face her demons right away. This is not an impossible situation. She did not have time to get bogged down in her pain because the villain was coming for her and her family. It is a matter of stand and fight or die. Self-preservation demanded that she find her fire and come together with Jackson. After the shock of the torture, (it was very graphic after all) the story is one of overcoming great and tragic trials and finding their strength together as they were destined. It is also the first time you see the true power Elle wields, she wreaks havoc on an entire island when she is freed!!

An extraordinary romantic series
This has got to be the next best series you read. For lovers of romance, mystery and pure delightful reading. You'll come to know and love this family of sisters and revel in their adventures as they seek out the men who stand beside them. I love the magic of this series.
