Excellent results.
I have used this strop over the past month with several pocket knives and kitchen knives of varying steels. The steels tested were 420hc, 440c, s30v, Japanese high carbon blue steel damascus, vg-10, and m390.With all of the steels I was able to achieve a push cut through paper sharpness with incredible ease. Even with the hard to sharpen m390 while taking a few extra passes than the other steels the edge is simply exquisite and beyond what can be achieved with whet stones alone. The edge on the soft 420hc also lasts noticeably longer. Very eady to get an edge right back to peak sharpness witha wuick strop session as well. Excellent strop for the money I highly recommend adding one to t finish your sharpening and to keep the razor edge between sharpenings.

Good quality strop block and compound
I was given this unit as part of an Instagram giveaway. I found the block, leather, and compound to be of great quality. I was able to sharpen my Opinel knife to a razor sharp edge fairly quickly and am very happy with the strop block. Due to the price and quality, I think this is a great product for beginners to whittling and sharpening knives. My only caveat is that because the wood block is very smooth and I like to strop with two hands for even sharpening, the block moved easily on my worktable. Future iterations might be better with grips on the bottom of the block, but I have a non-slip mat that gave enough friction for it to stay in place.

Perfect for me.
This came recommended to me over more expensive options from a friend.I rotate an assortment of knives I use daily for just trivial task. Opening boxes, opening letters, cutting the plastic on crates that contain the products invoice, random food prep like cutting a sub/sandwich/pizza, cutting ropes and depending on the knife stripping wires and such.I didn't need a blade to get scary sharp to the point that the slightest contact with the blade resulted in yabitsume. But I needed something capable of sharpening steels harder than VG-10, around that M390 range.I also didn't want to invest hours into sharpening a single blade. Finally due to my blade collection being ~25 I didn't want to spend a lot of time trying to learn the art of sharpening. Not that there is anything wrong with that just something I feel I dont need to know.By just reading the directions and watching the videos on Syderco's webpage my first attempt turned out exactly what I was looking for. Subsequent attempts got even better to the point of a too sharp. Harder steels require a little bit more effort adding an additional 2-3 minutes to the process. Now that I'm developing a feel for it I can somewhat tell when each stone is done. And it takes less than the length of an average song ~4-5 minutes. The pics above are before an after on a Boker Plus VG-10 blade at about 1000x zoom (for perceptive the ball from a ball point pen fills half that image). And that is one of my first attempt using ONLY the included stones. I don't have a need for anything else IMO.Petty as this sounds I took a star off because of the theft proof packaging, which is ironic considering I didn't have a blade sharp enough to get to the knife sharpener. I wasn't paying close enough attention and cut the manual pretty good.HIGHLY recommend this product.

Excellent quality stropping block
I received my stropping block from BeaverCraft the next day after ordering it. I also got the tool pouch from them. See my other review for that. This stropping block is so perfect and easy to use. It came with a stick of green compound. The leather is smooth and the wood block it's attached to is actually pretty with the BeaverCraft symbol etched into the side. This block will definitely be my new go-to stropping block! Thank you, BeaverCraft, for making good quality products!!

Great Strop Block for Beginners
I have several soft leather strops but this is a step up. For those starting out with wood carving and whittling, this is an easy and inexpensive way to keep the edges of their knives, gouges, and chisels nice and sharp. Stropping saves having to sharpen tools as often and that helps protect the tools; and a sharp tool is less likely to cause an injury.

Great Quality and it works well
I'm not too sure what stropping actually does and neither do I know how a rock sharpens knives, but this does a great job at finishing the edge. The compound is great, but you may want to order extra.

Nice strop for the price, but received grey compound
A good strop for carving knives needs to be flat and have something glued to it to hold the compound. These are wider than other brands and that is a bonus. I was expecting green compound and received grey (finer) compound. Not a problem for me because I have plenty of green. Worth the cost even with the incorrect compound.

Sehr gut !

wrong compound
Compound color is gray in my package instead of green, not satisfactory even it dulled my knife. maybe it's suitable for more wood crafts or so, I wish I had not apply compound the leather.Block itself is looks solid but I would like to have on plastic feet, it's usable but not so comfortable.

Recomendo
Quando o comprei pensei que fosse de dupla face o que não o é, mas mesmos tendo só uma é bom para o que se destina, recomendo.

Solider Streichriemen, seltsame Polierpaste
Schade.
