Ditch the Cord Chaos: This Kit Makes Your TV Wall Look Like a Million Bucks (Without Spending One)
Ever feel like your TV cords are staging a hostile takeover of your living room? Yeah, me too. That's where the cord hider swoops in like a superhero (minus the cape). This little kit is like magic for messy cords, making your wall look sleek and tidy in no time. Here's the deal: • Installation? Easy peasy. You don't need a degree in engineering, just a drill and 20 minutes of your precious time. Boom, cords banished behind the wall. • Bye-bye, cable spaghetti! This bad boy hides most of your TV cables (except the power-hungry ones, sorry). Think HDMI, Aux, even speaker wires - they're all outta sight, outta mind. • Need to adjust something? No problem! The handy pass-throughs let you add or remove cables whenever, keeping your entertainment setup flexible as ever. • Looks good, does good. This kit blends in seamlessly with our walls (bonus points for being paintable!) and is nice and small, so it doesn't add unnecessary bulk. Heads up: This hider isn't for power cables, and it might not be the best fit for a jungle of cords. But for most setups, it's works! Overall: It's easy to use, affordable, and makes your wall look like it belongs in a magazine. Just remember, it's not for every cable situation, but for most folks, it's a cord-cutting dream come true. So ditch the mess and embrace the clean with this little gem!

stop looking and buy this one!
I've never reviewed a product right after using it but in this case, I'm making an exception! . there's a slew of reasons why you need to get this device for the intended purpose of running TV cables in wall.! So not only does it do the job it was designed to do, but every element of its design is stellar. the build quality is incredible, its easy super install, (Pro Tip: make sure you aren't drilling into a stud or a fire stop isnt blocking your access to the second hole when you try and fish the cables through) back to review: the design is super clean looking when installed, the directions are superb, and get this! I had no idea they included the actual drywall bit to use to cut out the hole!! I'd pay 20 bucks just for this circular bit I can now use on other things in the DIY world. seriously I've done this process a few times before with other TV's in different rooms, I only wish I had used this product. definitely better late than never. I've already recommended it to a few buddies. I highly recommend this for you to!!

Nice results
In typical installations this would go much smoother. The instructions were very easy to follow, and also pretty funny. My house is a 120yr old farm house, so nothing ever goes as planned. Something as small and uneventful as this even throws a curveball at ya. I attempted to drill my hole with the hole saw and hit wood lathe behind the drywall. Didn’t quite expect the lathe. The hole saw was not deep enough or sharp enough to get through it all the way. I busted through it with my hulk like strength. As I turned to move on to the next step, I cracked my head open on the arm for the wall mount for my tv. Maybe, do this step before mounting your tv, maybe wear a hard hat, maybe don’t be unaware of your surroundings. Ima stupid girl. Went to drill the second hole and I was ready for the lathe this time... blood dripping down my face I go to drill hole #2... the flipping hole saw broke. The drill bit broke off right where it went into my drill. I must have angled it some. F-it, I’m on the home stretch! I mashed that SOB bit into my drill and powered through. Now it’s time we put the little winged chingada’s through the wall. Since my drywall is hiding it’s dirty little lathe secret. I have to spring the winged braces behind the lathe. I was able to unthread the wings a bit and got them to fit just behind the lathe before tightening it all up. If the screw would have been even another fraction of a millimeter shorter or the wall a smidge thicker it wouldn’t have worked. I buttoned it all up and realized even though measuring multiple times, my HDMI cable was now 3” too short. A quick order to prime now for a 6’ cable and life was good! So, this was a fun little project for myself. I am a pretty handy lady who works in the mechanical piping trades. Nothing was too complicated for your run of the mill handy person. One recommendation would be to use a longer screw or a machine screw to connect the anchor wings to the wall sleeve. This would allow for varying thicknesses of walls. I’d also recommend that you maybe keep another hole saw or arbor on standby. I really enjoyed this project and the results are just as expected.

Simplicity and functionality, my 2 favorite things.
Simplicity and functionality, my 2 favorite things. The included hole blade did a really clean cut. My suggestion would be to run your cabling through the provided rubber cover before setting in the housing. I was able, with some effort, to get my extension cord through the slit which was excellent. I did however feed my Ethernet cable through the housing but forgot to go through the cover before fishing it up (dropped a cable and twist tied to pull up). Because it’s coming from a really long run already fished through some other walls I was not about to take the extra 15m to send it back down for a re-do (already had the cover set in the top housing section). It’s a thin cable to i ran it jenkily out the side, which works for me as it will be well covered from view. Reasoning behind running cables through before setting in housing is, as you will see when you take it off the first time during installation, is it’s 3 prongs that hold it in are rather secure. I’m sure someone could manage to get it off after set, but with 2 cables inside and in the way, I did not want to try to undo the rubber while it was secured to the wall and I was too lazy to unscrew and take the housing out. Works well. Simple, easy to install. 5/5 for the price. (I used a stud finder with a voltage detector to ensure no risk of hitting wiring in this old house, always a good practice)

Easy installation and great way to hide cables.
Great product, comes with everything needed including a hole saw. Makes hiding HDMI cables for a tv or other non- power cables very easy. The cable hiders secure snuggly and look great as well. Echogear always provides great instructions and I enjoy the funny packaging and remarks in their documentation.

Easy! Works great!
Very well made and easy to install. Absolutely huge plus that the drill bit is included; very convenient, of course it’s the exact right size needed, and makes install a snap. It took just a few minutes to do. It is just as easy to uninstall when you need to pull out of wall to add another cable for example. The rubber piece that hides the screws just bends up to use a screwdriver - it’s a simple ingenious screw that fans a piece on back end then pulls it towards wall to tighten unit in place on both sides. Ingenious because you can unscrew it to loosen without losing any pieces in the wall lol to remove, add another cable, and retighten in wall … so easy The plastic is sturdy and the rubber cover with cable slit is very very durable - thought I was going to break it or tear it trying to get a plug through after I already had like 5 cables in place - held up perfectly to my abuse lol The rubber slit is very stiff and holds cables tightly so they won’t slip! Would easily recommend!

Quick fix for those wires to be hidden. Only thing is this set doesn't comes with the catch line which I had to find my own. Other than that its all good 👍🏼. Highly recommended.

Very good product, easy to install.....
Bought the two Amazon items ECHOGEAR TV Cord Hider (2 passthrough - 1 set, 4 passthrough - 2 set) for Wall Mounted TV's. The single pair comes with a 3 inch hole saw, the double package of 2 sets comes with a single 3 inch hole saw. Some mention that the hole saw slips and does a rough cut, the solution there is quite easy in using an allen key to loosen the includes shank bolt holding the hole saw and tighten it back on the flat portion of the shaft. It should be good out of the box however after reading some reviews i readjusted that allen key bolt to ensure it was seated properly. Install is easy as can be, use a stud finder to ensure no studs are on that portion for the hole itself and that no electrical is present as well. Most stud finders will solve both issues, you want to ensure the location is right. Then use the drill and hole saw to cut the 3 inch diameter hole. You then fish a fish tape or wire down/up the wall from hole to hole, using this pull wire to pull in your miscellaneous cables. One item to remember is that you will likely require additional lengths on the cables, i suggest 15 feet lengths for the HDMI and other cables. Many of us are sitting with 8 - 10 foot lengths, you will find that is likely short and you will need 12 - 15 feet...so go with 15 feet. It is recommended for low voltage cables and the power cable on your TV is usually a C7 (polarized, non polarized) similar to a laptop power cable, you can run a 1/2 inch corrugated conduit in the wall space to house that particular cable. I have seen pictures with the C7 power cable installed though the wall direct, in practise doesn't really make a difference however code is to only use a inside wall rated cable or to do the corrugated conduit. Once installed the look if exceptional, looks finished and no more unsightly cables. It takes about 20 - 30 minutes to complete the install, a few additional minutes to tie wrap the cables out of sight behind your TV stand. I added a couple of pictures of my first install, doing the other two installs later this week.
