Absolutely delicious. Fresh and habit forming. The price is a little high but the item is a good size and filled with yummy chocolate. Almost like the old style babka from Brooklyn.

I don't like to really write reviews about many items but I do for makeup and I do it for coffee because I know a lot about both and I buy a lot of them both. However, I do not buy a lot of Bakery goods online until I found Sterns Bakery and that changed everything and that is exactly why I'm writing a review because 2 minutes before I wrote this review I ordered this product again. I can't seem to get a piece of my own babka it goes flying out of the box and into other mouths awaiting this amazing cake. Is everything I remember from the bakeries in the Bronx when I was a child. I cannot thank the people at Stern's enough. Everything comes early or on time. The babka is fresh, as is their rugala in every flavor they make but back to the babka you absolutely have to try it. It's fresh it's moist and certainly not try. Everything especially this amazing cake is Super Fresh and I don't know how they do it and it's okay if it's a mystery but I am going to continue to buy this particular babka because it actually is one of the best I've ever had and I'm totally shocked I found them and this on Amazon. Please try it you will not be disappointed.

Bread: yum. Sugar: yum. Chocolate: yum. What's not to love? And this babka is extra delicious! The sweet, slighty crispy coils pull apart to reveal layers of fluffy softess, rich with flavor. My daughter is so happy to have a cinnamon-roll-like pastry that she can eat, being lactose-intolerant, and that is so full of cinnamon goodness. My favorite is the chocolate. It's special. The chocolate flavor is deep and rich but also delicate and not over-sweet, like a European pastry. We are thrilled at having found your wonderful pastry. We've already ordered more to share!

If you like chocolate you will love these. I would have gave it 5 stars but it could have been a little more fresh don't get me wrong they were still great. If you put them in the oven for just a couple min they taste like they were just made and noy purchased.

I’ve ordered this yummy babka before and had been very pleased BUT my most recent order was terrible! The bread was underbaked and almost raw in the center. I had ordered it to serve guests, but had to toss it in the trash because of health concerns. Since it had been in transit and unrefrigerated, we didn’t feel it would be safe to consume even if we re-baked the babka. Zero value for money and Amazon doesn’t do a thing to correct problems like this with food items.

Arrived in a timely manner and in good condition despite being packed upside down. Looked really appetizing. The texture was soft and slightly chewy, like a cinnamon roll. There was lots of chocolate! But....there was also a funky aftertaste I didn't recognize. It was almost fishy tasting. Nothing on the ingredient list looked too odd, so I don't know why it tasted so off. I had sent one to my daughter so I msg'd her my reaction and said my feelings wouldn't be hurt if she didn't like it. Won't be ordering again.

This is exactly what we’ve been looking for. Moist and delicate on the inside, slight crust on the outside, tons of chocolate flavor. Microwave for 15 - 20 seconds: soooo good. We’ve purchased the chocolate bobka and the cinnamon bobka, and they are both superb! We used to go to a Jewish deli in town that had great Eastcoast babka. The restaurant closed; we’ve ordered from a number places, and we finally can stop looking. I’m so glad to have access to excellent bobka again! And so easy to get it with amazon!

This cake was moist and fresh upon arrival - simply wonderful, and will def order again!

My dad lives in QC and I’m in AB, wanted to surprise him for his birthday with a desert he loved. Yes he was! My dad just loved the cake, said it tasted just like the one his mom made. You got to love Amazon accessing small regions to surprise your love ones. :)

Curious about this product after seeing it on Seinfeld years ago. Amazon seller Sterns Bakery notified me the product sold out but will be shipped as soon as they can. It arrived on time as promised, completely intact and delicious. I will be placing future orders with this seller.

Wasn’t great tasting, was dry actually and the paper it’s wrapped in stuck to the babka . The only way of softening this dessert was to put in the microwave. Will not be purchasing this again.
