Brilliant piece of kit works well

Easy to fit. Plug and play.....it just works!

Surpised it's over 10 years old, but it works fine for now. Perhaps I hadn't realised they would be this old. Is anyone makeing them new these days?

OK, I admit it. I was an idiot... I bought this drive because I thought it was what I needed and because I have past experience of this drive. Unfortunately, I actually needed a 9.5mm drive, so this didn't come anywhere near being the right thing. If only there had been some documentation with the workstation to tell me that the part of the machine that looked just like this was actually a housing! Still I am happy to say that I have used these drives often and they are always excellent. I can also say that the return process was no quibble, simple, free, and efficient even though I had ordered by mistake. Good product, good service, and I am grateful for the excellent return policy which they lived up to in every way. Highly recommended.

Works perfectly as a player and to backup your music on CDRs

I was unable to burn CDs and tried all the software fixes to no avail. Even though the drive was supposed to be working properly (according to report on my PC) I thought I’d try a replacement and didn’t want to spend a lot in case it didn’t work. Anyway, easy to install and works just fine. Perhaps a hint of some noise when operating as reported in other reviews but no problem with my burning activities. Overall very pleased.

Stated as a bare drive but comes boxed and with lead, but it doesn't! The drive arrived wrapped in some brown paper, no box or SATA lead, the drive works but I feel that the description is misleading at the very least.

Der Hitachi-LG GH24 DVD-Brenner überzeugt auf ganzer Linie! Die Installation war kinderleicht, wurde sofort unter Windows 10 erkannt und läuft absolut zuverlässig. Sowohl das Lesen als auch das Brennen von DVDs und CDs funktioniert schnell und leise. Besonders positiv ist die Unterstützung von M-Discs für langlebige Datensicherung. Für diesen Preis eine klare Kaufempfehlung – solide Qualität, wie man sie von LG erwartet!

Graba excelente a la máxima velocidad, hace un símil si lo ve bien comienza, (según software) Lee todo, cualquier dvd, en cualquier formato. Recomiendo el software incluido para WI10 y 11, muy bueno cyberlink suite.

Arrivato nella sua scatola di cartone ben imballato, corredato da dvd con software vari (penso poco utile ma neglio averlo che non averlo). Montato in 3 secondi è silenzioso all'avvio del pc (il precedente della stessa marca emetteva un leggero rumore ad ogni avvio del pc, fin da nuovo, mentre questo non fa alcun rumore). Funziona perfettamente e fa il lavoro che deve fare, considerato che ormai queste periferiche si usano pochissimo, il prezzo di meno di 20 euro va più che bene. Consigliato per utilizzare i vecchi cd e dvd e di tanto in tanto masterizzarne qualcuno, magari per fare qualche backup se non si hanno chiavette usb sotto mano.
