I was very skeptical after reading the reviews, but I am glad that I got it and tried it! I wanted to cover the greys and it did a great job of doing that, and it almost looks like I have highlights. Actually looks pretty natural. I left it on for about 45 minutes, and did add in the coffee and citrus juice (I didn’t have lemon so I added the juice of half of a lime) like the instructions recommend. The only thing that is confusing is that the inside instructions say that there should be an oil included, whereas the instructions on Amazon don’t mention it. But it worked without oil! I plan to keep using this product every 2-4 weeks per their recommendations. I actually didn’t mind that there wasn’t as much material because I blended it in from the top down and it looks more natural than a one color tone would have, in my opinion.

For my short hair can use for two applications easily, maybe three. I ordered dark brown and it match my hair color perfectly. Will try lighter brown next time to see if it lightens my hair a bit. Color lasts me 5 weeks with washing hair every 4 days. Very little smell and easy application with provided gloves. Will stain white towels when drying hair, so be careful Cheaper here than at retail.

I’ve been using this for three years and my hair has never been so healthy with nice curls. This is a commitment, once you go henna, it has to grow out before doing any chemical process. The trick is to mix into a paste and then add an egg or a little yogurt. This makes it better to work with so it doesn’t dry out so fast, and is another benefit for healthy, shiny hair. I have salt and pepper hair, so this only turns the grey hairs red, looks like I had red highlights put in. For regrowth, only do the regrowth or else your ends will turn black, as this is depositing color every time, no lift. After your regrowth is covered with the henna, add a little more egg or yogurt to what remains and work that in through the ends to freshen it up. Make sure to do a deep conditioning treatment after rinsing out. This will make a mess in the shower, leaves a film, so you will have some clean up to do after. It’s all worth it, I no longer have frizzy curls, my hair is thicker and shiny.

You need to to take this product OFF the shelves immediately!!! I am a natural malanin female and I bought this product because it said plant base. I have used Henna before with absolutely no problem until now... I put this dye in my hair and now I have at least 1st degree burns through out my entire head, face, neck and ears! I didn't realize what was happening to me the night of using it as my head had swollen up, my head throbbed like someone beat me, I was dizzy and suffered in pain all night. When I woke up, my face, scalp, neck, ears etc were all red and I had soars in my my head. It had to be chemicals in this I thought so I went to the box and the 1st ingredient was ACID??? YOU ADVISED this was safe for ALL hair types but you should have included shin types! We are all NOT the same and anyone who can endure putting acid in there hair with NO Neutralizing shampoo, I have to question??? The damage and the losses I am still suffering from this product 3 days later... My entire head itches profusely, my face and scalp is swollen and red with bumps around my edges. I'm still weak, can't work or function and it's still burning. I need to go to the hospital to get a steroid shot to stop the chemical reaction and so my head can stop throbbing and swelling. Shame on you Amazon as when I reported this you claimed you would have it removed from your market all for me to come and read a review that states this has happened to someone else. I always taught my children that lies kill and destroy. And ain't nothing plant based about acid and shake on you and your greed to sell such a hazardous product WITH NO WARNING! I AM NOT THRU WITH YOU YET!!!

A practical form to maintain the hair color

You must use this exclusively and let your hair grow out before using traditional dye again bc it coats your hair. It makes hair feel so silky and wonderful, but too dark for my complexion

Seems like the color has changed and doesn’t cover gray like it used to. I’ve been using this brand for about 6 years. I have a salon put it in for me. I was sent the wrong color (brown) a few months ago but noticed when it was past the 30 day return period. I’ve never had this issue before. I kept it because my hairdresser said she may have to do a mixture of the dark brown and black (right color) which is the color I always purchase to see if it colors my gray like it used to. It used to be a rich black color. It has more of a dark gray tone to it now. I don’t know if I got a bad batch. I may purchase at Sally Beauty Supply next time and see if the color is better. I like this brand because I have a sensitive scalp and it does not bother me but if it doesn’t cover the gray and the color is not black then I may have to find another henna brand. Finally, I always keep 2 boxes on hand because it seems like I can’t count on it being in stock.

The directions were easy to follow. I appreciated the included gloves and application brush. Love the resulting (highlight) color.

La verdad era la primera vez usando henna pero esta es exelente, tiñe super padre y profundo el cabello. Le dio una tonalidad más caoba super padre y no dañe mi cabello.
