Adjustable Dog Cat Cone,Soft Recovery Cat Cone Collar,Dog Protective Collar for Cats and Puppy Surgery,Pink,Small

After purchasing and trying out several other e-collars after my cat presented with a belly wound a few weeks ago that needed surgical repair, only this one turned out to be workable and comfortable for her. (The plastic collar the vet sent her home with was a literal torture device that she already had off in the carrier before we arrived home.) She spent two nights in that awful collar until this one arrived, struggling to find a way to rest her head for sleep so that it didn't mercilessly dig into her neck - and this nicely padded one, not nearly as stiff, changed everything within minutes. She was able to curl up for more natural sleep with the faux velveteen lining, and the instant on/off velcro closure allowed me to quickly get it off/on while in my lap and allow her supervised grooming of paws and face after eating...the prevention of which was driving her nuts! Yes, the collar is not as rigid as some might desire, but has so far worked wonderfully for my active 3 year old.

I ordered 3 different ones for our cat and I like this one the best. Fits several sizes, stays on and thankfully our cat wasn't trying to get it off. Its larger than the other 2 but very soft and comfy, fits great, easy on and off and he seems to sleep well in it. Easy to wash and dry and he can eat and drink while he has it on.

I tried 4 other types of cones (and 3 types of “recovery suits”) for my girl. She’s just over 4 lbs, with a 7” neck— nothing fit!! This was the exception. CONs: -the Velcro wore out in <2 wks (I just used hot glue to add more lol) -she could still lick back paws if it was turned “down” (not up like a flower) - soils somewhat easily PROs: - so comfortable!!!! It barely bothers her at all! - easy to eat and sleep in - doesn’t inhibit mobility, vision, or eating - actually fits my tiny pup! -easy to put on in seconds without trauma, easily adjustable -durable (been using for almost 2 months now) I’m buying a second so there’s always one clean. 👍

I just order this item 2 days ago and it came in today and I'm so glad I bought it. My little 3 1/2 pound Yorkie totally flipped out over the cone I got from the vet and then I bought a donut cone and he did not like either one of them. The vet cone kept his head up in the air and the donut cone he kept slipping out of it and it was extremely uncomfortable for him. This cone here you can flip down and he is not able to scratch his eye with his hint paw. It's soft material and not stiff at all and it's worth every penny. He is not crazy about having to wear a cone, but the main thing is that they are able to sleep in it and won't be able to slip out of it. I still have to remove it so he can eat or drink or go potty.

First impressions, will update after cat has tried for a bit (if it will fit). Pros: -Tag says machine washable. -Soft to touch fabrics. -Highly adjustable. -Strong velcro. Cons: -Runs SO small!! -Made of dense and heavy materials. My cat has started obsessively licked her arms, leg, and tail. While we're waiting to be able to go back to the vet, we wanted something to stop the licking. Something more comfortable than a hard plastic cone, but not as flimsy as a fabric hospital cone. We ordered her a size Small based on the size chart and photos of how it fit on other animals. There are several versions of this recovery collar listed, and they all have a different size chart, so they all must be knock-offs of each other and made to different specifications. According to this listing, the size chart photo says size Small is for a neck 8-9 inches. But I measured with velcro fully closed and barely closed, and this would be better for 6-8 inches max. It is also not nearly as lightweight as I thought it would be. I've sewn my whole life, and definitely think this version was made of a foam or batting that is too dense for this application. It's surprisingly heavy! All this weight on the back of a cat's neck and they'll get fatigued! I only recommend it for either dogs as they have more strength in their necks and backs, or cats who are recovering from surgery and just lay around. The design and print is extremely cute, but it has flaws. Not true to size, and heavy.

This collar is so soft, durable and easy to put on and take off. The velcro is top notch velcro (if there is such a thing). Our male cat had PU surgery and the cone was a nightmare. He has to stay in a large kennel at night and he was rubbing the plastic cone back and forth on the steel kennel (like a person with a tin cup in prison) while walking around the inside of it, trying to take it off or probably just trying to irritate us since it was irritating him. He seems to really like this one. It's cushioned and he sleeps for hours laying his head on it. He's an 11-12 lb cat and the medium was perfect. The small would have been too small. What I liked best about it is the length from neck to end. 5" was perfect for the surgery he had. He wasn't able to reach the surgical area, but was still able to compromise by licking and grooming clean his upper legs and tail. It's machine washable and you can place in dryer on med to low heat. Looks brand new, afterwards. So many different reviews on here for different designed cones. For reference, I got the light blue cone. Some of the negative reviews were for other color and different cones.

Our cat just had surgery and she couldn't get comfy with the hard plastic cone, no matter if we propped her up with pillows she would keep getting up to try to find a comfy place for her head. Not to mention she went into full depression mode days after have the plastic cone on. So we got her this and it worked like a charm. When she knocked into a wall with it on, it was not the hard hit like the plastic. She was much more comfy when she slept and would even play with it on. All in all this is a smart buy. This one was a medium, which fit pretty good. I had to tighten it around her neck with the velcro. So the velcro ends did not line up perfectly but it was nice and snug around her neck. Even though the velcro ends were not flat against each other, the cone was secure and never once came off. One last thing, it did get dirty over time but the plus side it was very easy to clean. We would throw it in the washer and dryer In a gentle sanitize wash and put it in a delicate setting dryer and it would come out brand new. I did not think of this till it was too late, it would have been nice 1 extra as back up. When one was washing you can put the extra on them and not have to worry. I only bought one (because I did not realize till later, 2 might have been better) and when it was washing, I had to watch her constantly for the 2 hours of the wash/dry to make sure she wasn’t scratching her stitches or rough playing with the other fur-balls in the house.

Super comfy cone. My cat had surgery and needed to wear it for 2 weeks. I bought 2- one for him to wear while the other was in the wash. It’s held up well, even with being thrown in the washer and dryer repeatedly. My cat is small (11 pounds and I got the medium). It fits great. The only suggestion I would make is to have loops sewn around the neck of the cone so gauze can be wrapped around the shoulders and attached to the cone for neck surgeries. I couldn’t find any online so I sewed some on myself. Other than that, it’s been such a huge lifesaver!! My cat hasn’t complained or tried to get it off too much. I think he might actually miss wearing this cone at times!

Oh SO much better than the plastic ones. And, so cute on our wee Yorkie.
