Great books for a very affordable price. I highly recommend you take advantage of the price, I sure did and I'm glad I did. These books are absolutely great and will definitely improve your drumming. Whether your a beginner, intermediate,, or an absolute advance drummer, these books should be a must for every drummer. There are tons of great and sick groves. You got rock groves, jazz groves, shuffle groves, latin groves such as salsa, bossa nova, samba, cha-cha, you got reggae, and funk. Great books for a great price. Don't hesitate, do yourself a favor and buy them, you won't regret it. I sure didn't.

I did a lot of research before I bought Tommy Igoe Groove Essentials for our son for Christmas, and I'm SO glad I did! He kind of turned his nose up at it UNTIL he went to his professional lessions and his coach had all the posters in his studio! Our son asked about it, and his coach told him yep, this was THE ONE GUY/THE ONE resource to buy if you're going to get one! LOL Who says "father knows best"? I looked for MONTHS! And when he came home from lessons he was pretty stoked - so I had my chance to tell him how much time I'd spent listening to different drummers on youtube and reading different reviews on Amazon, and this was the only one I'd even consider! And he gave me a big hug and said, "Thanks mom!" Then last week he started working with another professional drum teacher - someone he's wanted to work with ever since his jazz concert - where this guy filled in for one of the other bands, and GEEZE he was amazing! And he also had the Tommy Igoe materials! LOL and once again my son came home and told me and I got another hug! Wonder if he'll trust me from now on?! Naw! Probs not .... that might be asking too much!if you're looking for drum lessons from someone who's actually going to demonstrate technique, and not just show off their amazing sets or try to blow your mind playing with no demonstration what so ever, then this is what you're looking for. Read the reviews on Amazon, then go to YouTube and listen to Tommy Igoe's Groove Essentials. You won't be unhappy whatever level you determine suits your needs!

This is a must for every drummer to go through. Its made me a much better rock drummer, and planing to go through entire book over time. Also great teaching book and cd is great. Wish tommy played through on drum tracks as well and not just on dvd, and had a metronome click as well, but still great cd.

There is nothing to object about material in this bundle. This stuff is great, and it transforms me into better, well-rounded drummer. Tommy Igoe is a world class drummer and teacher, and these books and DVD's prove it. I am an intermediate level drummer hobbyist, and feel completely at home with the presentation of material and level of difficulty of groove patterns. The quality of play-along tracks is great. I also like that the tracks are quite long, which gives student enough time to develop the groove and try various other things without too many replays. Each groove also has several variations written in notes in the books. I also work though them, which further develops my technique, as well as ability to read sheet music for drummers. One word of caution: I would not recommend this material for beginners. IMHO, this material is best suited for intermediate players who can develop further without assistance of teacher.

Tommy Igoe’s 2 books are what we all need as working drummers.-If you play bc you love playing+ these are for you.-If you play bc you are seeking fame - these are not for you!Everything is so clear AND YOU HAVE the ability to have 3 different charts and you can control the BPMs.Perfect !!!!Thank you Tommy!

Absolutely the best drumming video ever. If you are a beginner or an intermediate to advanced drummer, this video is for anyone who wants to get better. Tommy is a top notch pro, beyond anyone else I have ever seen. I wanted to be a better Rock drummer but always wanted to learn Jazz but could never "get" it. Tommy breaks it down so even I could understand it. It opened up a whole new world for me, it was like learning a new language. This video has probably more than most will use, but I can say it will challenge and expand your music and drumming ability beyond anything else. I have stacks of drumming books but I would start here as these DVD's and Book's are the best all around in my option. Get this and "Great Hands for a Lifetime", with these two combined, and the skies the limit!

Good pack of 1.0 & 2.0 including the DVD's. I found these materials good and will also assist as another tool in drum education of myself and students. I have been going through the material myself before using with students. I have quickly found that like many books and instructional programs, they can get complicated quickly. I don't know that I would feel great turning a newer student onto this material, but it certainly hits areas that others have not.

I've been drumming for 42 years, but there's always more to learn. Tommy Igoe's Groove Essentials is a must have. I wish I had this 20 years ago! Yea it's cool if you can play 12,000 perfect single strokes in a minute but if you can't play a Samba, Funk, or Shuffle groove what good are you? Buy this... you won't be disappointed.

This product will help you if you are a beginner student of the drumset. The grooves set forth in the methods have variations on the fundamental grooves that will challenge even the most advanced player. My son (11 years of age) is starting on the drumset and using this book...he loves it!!Also a steal-of-a-deal! $100 value for ~$65!! Would highly recommend regardless of level of training.

alors voilà alors que les livres à l'unité contiennent le cd audio, là dans les pack seul un des livres (le volume 2) contient le cd. l'autre il faut le télécharger avec un code qui est donné... Seulement voilà !!! les 100 morceaux ne peuvent être télécharger que un par un !!!! C'est n'importe quoi ! ça prend des plombes si on se lance dans la procédure, chaque téléchargement opéré ouvre une nouvelle fenêtre qui rend la manœuvre encore plus longue ! Sinon ce qui était présenté sur le papier comme deux dvd en fait il n'y a pas de dvd matériel, c'est encore par téléchargement, et les 4 téléchargement sont long car au final ça représente presque 7 Go quand on les a téléchargés ! Bref, perso j'ai retourné le pack et acheté les livres séparément ! sinon pour ce qui est des musiques et instructions c'est 5 étoiles ! Le top ! Musiques sans batterie, sans métronome ! Comme en vrai avec des musiciens top niveau et de super orchestrations !!!
