Ivy Lane Design Ceramic Love Letter Dish, Letter B, White

I didn't look at the size before ordering these so when I received them they were much smaller than I expected. I bought these more as a decorational piece for a bridal shower and I'm incredibly happy with them. I'm not sure how big I was expecting them to come but two letters and an ampersand will probably hold 2 bags of m&ms. These are adorable, I recommend them to others!

I was so excited for this to come in! I thought it was going to be just a bit bigger, but it really is perfect and big enough for what I want to put in it. No cracks or chips and it’s smooth.

It is not big. However, it works for me, it gives a hint of balance to the rest of my coffee stands.

So I read the reviews and decided to do a test order before buying the entire letter set that I wanted. I placed my order in January 2016 and received it in a timely manner. I ordered the 'A', 'Z', 'L', and '&' dishes. Here are my impressions: 1. The fixed the backwards 'L' issue. My 'L' is fine and faced the correct direction. 2. The letters came in two different size boxes and mostly filled them. The 'L' and the '&' came in a narrow box and the 'A' and 'Z' came in a wider box. Both sets of boxes matched each other in height. This is reflected in the letters they contained. All 4 dishes matched in height. 3. The color of all 4 are about the same. In sunlight they all appear cool white and none stand out as being significantly different. 4. The quality is about average. They are glazed ceramic plates with unglazed bottoms (normal). The glaze is applied in an acceptable fashion. There's a pinprick hole in the 'Z' and '&' and the glaze is a little lumpy on the 'A'. None of this will affect its use as candy dishes. The lines of the dish are acceptable: The 'A' is a little wavy on the inside of the triangle, but you only notice if you really look. 5. The only thing that catches your eye is that the 'Z' is proportioned to appear just like a 'N' if you turn it sideways. Most texts make the 'Z' a little narrower. As far as I know Ivy Lane is the only one producing these dishes. I wish they were made in melamine since I want to use them at a kid's party. Still, these are just fine for use at a supervised party. They are just the right size to use as a table decoration in a group. The fact that they also hold candy or other small items (not soup or dip or, etc.) is incidental as they are primarily a decoration w/food rather than a real serving dish.

Oh man this was so small I wasn't expecting it to be huge but I was not expecting it to be as small as it was! I was having a Valentine's Day party and I wanted to feel this with candy or chips they could only fit one Hershey kiss in in a row. If that makes sense though whiteness is only a Hershey kiss wide. It was still super cute but totally expensive for the size!

Ok, I had to return it twice because it broke in shipping, but when I finally received it, it was perfect and arrived right on time. My friend was getting married and we were throwing her a bridal shower so we bought the initial dishes and filled them with little things like mints, olives, etc. Super cute and she loved them. It served (no pun intended) a triple purpose: a decoration, serving dish, and a gift for the bride.

Not sure how one could rate a ceramic dish. It's either a dish or it's not. It's a very nice dish. A great decoration piece. My wife loves it alot. She put it on the back edge of the stove top. It was smaller than I expected it to be, but that's because I didn't read the information carefully before purchasing.
