Computer replacement
We had to replace our computer and ordered the ASUS at the recommendation of our computer tech. It has worked great. It is in great demand and we were lucky to get the last one in stock.

Failed computer, Failed service.
Amazon Review: 7/30/2020re: BEWARE OF ASUS COMPUTER from AMAZONASUSPro Desktop PC D641SC, Intel Core i5-9400, 8GB RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD, Windows 10Professional, Black - D641SC-XB501Personal ComputerSold by: Amazon.com Services LLCCondition: NewI purchased this unit on 13 Feb 2020 after having owned numerous other ASUS computers. I was impressed by the specifications, and although it was not the lowest cost choice at this level, I went with my prior good experience with ASUS. It turned out that this was a mistake, and I should have relied more on the poor reviews given by other buyers.I received the computer on 19 Feb 2020 and put it to use immediately. I installed my software and working files from my current ASUS computer and spent several days setting up my desktops and landscapes in the various applications and software that I use. The Amazon return window closed for this computer on 19 March. On 21 March (Two days past being able to return it to Amazon) the computer would not turn on. No Sign of Life. I called the ASUS product support and they walked me through unplugging the computer and trying to restart it to no avail. I spent several hours more on call-backs to the ASUS consumer support, emails to ASUS Product Support, and on their website. I had my local computer tech service clone the hard drive to back up the setup information and files that I had been working on for the last three weeks. Finally received a Return Merchandise Authorization and UPS return label from them on 30 March. I printed the RMA and UPS label, carefully boxed the computer and sent it to their repair center in Jeffersonville, Indiana that day.I received the computer back on 15 April. I took it immediately to my tech service and they verified that it was working and determined that the ASUS Service Center had replaced the motherboard and the hard drive, and reinstalled the OS.I spent the next month reinstalling software and apps, reinstalling backed up files, setting up desktops and familiarizing myself again with the new Windows 10 and the way that my programs worked on that platform. On 30 July I woke up my monitor and discovered the computer was again No Sign of Life. I went through the rebooting procedure and called ASUS support and spoke with chistopher in the Caribbean. We went though the unplugging and on button exercise again, and verified that I had power, and that the monitor was working. again. I told him that at this point, I do not know that I can afford to gamble with this computer again, and that if I can not have it repaired with quality result assured, that I want to return it. I am now awaiting 24 to 48 hours for a call-back from a supervisor, and writing this review.I will be shopping for a new computer now, but it will not be from Amazon, and it will not be an ASUS unless I have some positive response on returning for credit from AMAZON or replacement by ASUS within the next 24 to 48 hours.

Very good PC!!!
Built for builders. Typical ASUS quality and attention to detail. Fast. Cheap. It works. What more can you ask for?

This is a Nice Little Compact Computer
I bought it because of Microsoft Win 10 Terrorism because I'm in the middle of a lawsuit and need something to scan documents into and use word. My regular computer running Win 7 (which is much simpler and practical) runs everything I need perfectly and now all of that shall be ruined.Anyway, the hype on the Asus web page is a little hard to believe - e.g., up to an nVidia 1080 Card? I doubt it. The 1080Ti requires at least a 650 watt power supply, this one is minute and has only one extra power plug which I used for a SATA 2T Seagate Drive. It took me a while to figure out how the fold out cage opens to install the drive but it works ok.I still don't know what the area below it is forIt's going to be a trick adding more memory with the SATA cords folded underneath the drive. I don't know if it's possible to use those slots. It's nice for doing office tasks tho - the problems I'm having aren't attributable to the computer - altho I wish there were 3.0 USBs on the back. My scanners and printer which work exceptionally well on Win 7 don't seems to work anywhere near the quality with the Win 10 drivers. If Amazon had the other Pro line models available I might have bought a larger modelThis is nice and small I'm using it horizontally, you can walk around with it like an older heavier lap-topIt's a cool little unit

Excellent value office PC. Broken support through ASUS.
This PC functioned very well as a home office unit for about 5 months. It's an excellent value for the specs as a prebuild with a good form factor and convenient IO for daily office use. The power supply has apparently failed, which happens sometimes, so nothing to be too upset about. The issue was that my local PC repair shop isn't able to diagnose the issue because of non-standard rails on the power supply. Again, not that bad as I would just go through ASUS' RMA process under warranty. The online RMA system is very broken. It throws an error each time and states that I already have a case number "undefined". So, I try to purchase the power supply to replace it myself, and what do you know, it can't be purchased in the US. Attempting to email ASUS customer support has been unsuccessful. This was not a fun experience and it may be the last ASUS product I buy after more than a decade of using their hardware. This may be an unlucky experience, but the value the item presents is not worth the broken service.
