Wiping Lotion | Experience Clean | The Cleaner Way to use Toilet Paper | 8 Fl Oz Bottle (Unscented)

I'm moving and it is with great sadness I must leave my $23 handheld bidet sprayer purchased on Amazon during the pandemic. The new property has no septic, so composting toilet here I come! It is safe to assume with great accuracy, that the second coming would arrive before a single wet wipe would break down in my compost pile. Time to look for an alternative...I didn't get far before I found Island Topicals Wiping Lotion. I read all the positive reviews and decided it was time for a test run. I purchased the unscented versionYou needn't use a lot of lotion, tissue doesn't break, cleans your backside well, doesn't cause irritation and doesn't leave any residue. First, a couple of swipes w/o lotion, then a couple passes with lotion & your good to go! It is CLEARLY a great and viable alternative to wet wipes. What more could I ask for except a septic tank and a bidet?

I have used Balneol on toilet paper for years. It's necessary for me to prevent an itchy butt. Dry toilet paper is the worst! But Balneol is expensive for what it is. And the pre-moistened wipes only clog the pipes at home, and create a real aggravation at the sewage treatment plant, who has to remove your wipes from the wastewater. (My husband works in wastewater treatment.)Island Tropicals Wiping Lotion is a good-quality, less expensive alternative to Balneol. And the dispenser is more convenient! Put the dispenser on the back of the toilet, and turn around to pump a little dab on your toilet paper before wiping. It's great!

This stuff is great! It can handle all of your butt wiping needs. It’s as smooth as silk and as soft as butter. HOWEVER, there is a serious problem with its packaging. The lotion is thick to the point that the pump stops working when there is still a substantial amount left in the bottle. You have to unscrew the top and slam the bottle against a countertop to get more out. Of course sometimes too much comes out and sometimes, if you aren’t careful, it can go flying across the room. A simple squeeze bottle would suffice and it would probably save the company some money. I’ll probably still buy it but if I come across a similar product without the hassle then it’s adios!

I had used a pharmaceutical lotion on my toilet paper at the recommendation of my doctor. It cleaned and prevented chafing after bowel movements. This does the exact same thing as the pricy small bottle, but it has an easy pump top and you get twice as much for the price. It’s pretty enough to leave sitting on the tank of the toilet, and pleasant smelling. (If a guest mistakes it for hand lotion, no harm done…)

I’ve been wanting to stop using “flushable” wipes that should never be flushed. Like seriously, don’t flush them! Technically they may flush down your toilet but that doesn’t mean they’re flushing all the way through the pipes into the sewer system! Save yourself an expensive and embarrassing future plumbing problem and stop flushing wipes and all feminine hygiene products!Anyway, this lotion is awesome and I wish I had thought about getting something like it sooner. This is the first one that I’ve tried so I can’t compare it to others, like the more expensive foam.The bottle is a bit smaller than most liquid hand soaps but think it will last a long time. It only takes maybe a centimeter of lotion to get the job done.Leaves me feeling clean and moisturized, not greasy or slippery or uncomfortable.And it makes horrible toilet paper decent! I bought some really thin, rough, single ply by mistake and this lotion makes it usable.If I have one criticism, it’s that the label could be more appealing/discreet. It says Wiping Lotion in big bold letters and has a toilet paper roll on it, lmao. Anyone seeing it will immediately know what it is and what you use it for. If you wanted to be all classy you could soak off the label (it doesn’t peel off clean, I tried a corner) or put a sticker/shelf liner over it.Not sure if it’s ok for ladyparts too or if it might cause irritation or throw off your pH so I’m being careful to only get the lotion on its intended area. XD
