Tastes just like normal salt but with much less sodium
Tastes just like normal salt! I needed to reduce sodium intake and bought this product with much less included. Plus, I need to increase my potassium intake, so this was perfect.

Good low salt alternative!
I really love this product. It tastes just like regular salt for way less sodium. It works well for cooking and adding to meals afterwards. It's a little pricey but for health reasons it's worth it. I recommend if you're looking to lower your salt intake.

Warning: contains Sodium Hexacyanoferrate
This product contains Sodium Hexacyanoferrate, also known as Yellow Prussiate of Soda. It is what's known as a ferrocyanide salt. As of May 2023, it is approved for use by both UK and EU authorities (E535). In 2018, a re-evaluation was published in the EFSA Journal which assured the consumer that ferrocyanide salts are perfectly safe to consume at the established, regulated levels. The levels have to be regulated, because (quote from the Abstact):"The kidney appeared to be the target organ for ferrocyanides toxicity and 4.4 mg sodiumferrocyanide/kg bw per day was identified as the NOAEL for the renal effects in a chronic (2-year) study in rats. Assuming that the toxicity of this compound is due to the ferrocyanide ion only, the Panel established a group acceptable daily intake (ADI) for sodium, potassium and calcium ferrocyanide of 0.03 mg/kg bw per day expressed as ferrocyanide ion. The Panel concluded that ferrocyanides (E 535–538) are of no safety concern at the current authorised use and use levels."Maybe they are right. Maybe ferrocyanide salts are perfectly safe at these levels - I don't know. Here in the United States, I can go to Walmart and find many salts that use Yellow Prussiate of Soda as an ingredient. In the same Walmart, I can find products containing Aspartame and Titanium Dioxide. Titanium Dioxide, by the way, has been banned from use as a food additive in the EU as of February 2022. Aspartame breaks down in your gut into aspartic acid, phenylalanine, and methanol. METHANOL.There are a growing number of studies, such as the 2015 study titled "Longer period of oral administration of aspartame on cytokine response in Wistar albino rats" (PMID: 25681123), which reveal how not-so-safe this FDA approved sweetener really is. Titanium Dioxide likewise remains FDA approved. The very same FDA also claims that ferrocyanide salts are perfectly safe for consumption, at the regulated levels. Remember to salt your FDA.
