Vixen Horns1/4" NPT 12V Electric Air Valve (Solenoid) for 3/8" OD Hose 200PSI Train/Air Horn Chrome Plated VXA7468C

Bought it. Installed it. Didn't work. Removed it. Bench/Mouth (Low Pressure) Tested it. Worked. Re-installed it. Didn't work. Worked with a few PSI, but not 150 PSI. Weird. My Summary: JUNK!!!!!!! I Was Really Disappointed. Every other component of my air horn system is installed and ready to go, and now I have to wait for a DIFFERENT 12V Air Solenoid to arrive up to complete my project. I should have paid closer attention to previous reviews as they were not exactly award winning either. JUNK JUNK JUNK JUNK JUNK JUNK JUNK JUNK JUNK JUNK!!!!!! Not Cool, Amazon... Not Cool at all.... Do Better Please and Thank You. eBay here I come...

First one arrived, got it all hooked up and it would not activate with pressure applied to it. With no pressure on the valve you could hear opening and closing. Useless for its intended use. Contacted Amazon, they replaced it immediately. When the shipping bag arrived to my house it was empty. Contacted Amazon again and they said they could only refund my order as they had already "replaced" it once. Ordered a hornblasters valve and it worked perfectly right out of the box.

I installed this valve on a set of Hadley twin trumpet truck horns. I tested both connections at 200 psig with soap solution and found no leaks. I then let the system stand pressirized for 4 hours with no measurable loss of pressure. Following the leak test i installed and connected the horns. The valve is completely functional but onlt to a pressure of 120 psi. When i tried to operate the horns at 150 psi the valve would not open. For this i deducted one star.

did not work right out of the boxbought a second one that workedwhen hooked up with no air whenit got to 10 pounds of air it wouldnot work any more.every vixen part including tank andcompressor that i purchased is verycheaply made would never buy again

It worked fine for a month or so and it quit working for my hornblaster outlaw horn. It also doesn't have the grounding wire identified took a couple blasts from the horn to realize this.

This was so easy to install. It actually came in on time, and had easy to read instructions. I was pretty amazed at how easy it was to install.

Perfect replacement on my Vixen air horn system. Works great, easy installation!

Didn’t work. I bought a whole new horn assembly with new solenoid and it works great. So know I wired correctly.
