What flavor is the golden coins agar agar powder?

It's flavorless, but it already has sugar added so if you already have dessert that you usually make with sugarless agar, you'll need to experiment and adjust the recipe-- otherwise, your usual recipe may end up way too sweet (which is what happened to me). Still, once I figured out the right amount of sugar, I found this agar to be easy to use-- i.e. it dissolves completely and easily (a biggie-- otherwise, your dessert may end up grainy).

Does one packet from the box really require 6 cups of water? who needs 6 cups of jelly.

I understood from the instructions, as you do : use 6 cups of water (or any liquid) for each packet. I had my doubt, so I use 6 cups of water for 3 packets and is still too soft. If I were to buy this again I would use 1 cup of water for each packet and hope to get the firmness that I wanted, like a firm jello. That said, look for another agar product. This is basically sugar that you buy.
