Silberschnitt Pad with Strip and Circle Cutters

I have so far only used it as a strip cutter...but it works great! The blade is sharp and cuts very smoothly. I was cutting large strips (14 inches long and 1/2 inch wide) and they broke cleanly every time. I have not tried the circle cutter. I gave it only four stars - and the instructions that came with it were rather useless.

I primarily purchased this item to cut circles. Strip cutter seems to work OK but the circle cutter was terribly awkward to use. The base kept sliding on the glass when trying to cut. Did not have any type of suction device. Very disappointed for the price paid.

After purchasing this Item I discovered there was nothing to hold the center point other than downward pressure from my hand which does 2 things it causes the holding hand to be in the way of scribing and the cutter drags the arm outward so you do not get circles. To paraphrase their words this was designed to primarily cut straight edges. we have other circle cutters that work better. It will not work as described. And they do not give full refunds when you ask. And Amazon waits with their AtoZ till 30 days go by then just say well too late.

Perfect cuts and breaks. Extremely impressed. Absolutely no regrets with this purchase!

For this outrageous price it was low quality and not accurate. A thirty dollar purchase did a better job. I highly do not reccomend this product.

Poor circle cutting.

It's hard to convey my disappointment with this product. I used a Silberschnitt pad for ~5 years. It was so nicely made. I ordered this product via Delphi Glass with the angle cutter (totaling almost $300!!). What I received was so different than the previous version. The ruler was glued on crooked to the arm. The track used to have metal ball bearings to ensure smooth, tight fit - they stripped that out and instead made the plastic T just barely hanging in there by 4 little plastic nubs. The resulting fit is very, very sloppy - the angle is not 90 degrees so you have to guess the correct length instead of having it be precise! The diamond scribe is extremely cheap, it used to be fantastic. They would not allow a return of the angle cutting system, just this cutting mat so I could be left with just the useless angle cutting system. As a result - we are forced to eat all the cost. This is an R&D small company fab, we have precise needs. It's very unfortunate that Silberschnitt quality has degraded, it used to be an indispensable product.
