Good cheap mic stand!
It is overall a good stand, and in a sitting position when I'm playing the guitar, it is great! I liked this cause I am fairly tall (6'3") and it could go pretty high with the boom arm.As could probably be understood, it's not very sturdy in this position (and I've watched it topple over with my Shure SM57 on it at least twice when I had my back turned - Thank God I have a soft carpet and that SM57s could fall onto a hard stage, and still work!). But...i made it work great by putting a 3 pound dumbbell on the back end of the tripod, and I haven't had a problem since! But when I get money for a more pricey mic, I'm definitely changing the stand...

useful, good deal
Even though the mic stand is lightweight and economical, it's sturdy enough to be used in most studio applications. I wouldn't want to throw it in a van for touring, although broken down and stashed in it's little carry bag it could probably survive a lot of hard traveling. The desk mic stand is likewise light duty but perfect for placing a mic in front of a kick drum or small guitar amp in a recording studio. Great value here.

Good stand!
Good inexpensive stand. Easy set up and take down. It holds the music Ipad and mic very well.

incredible value
this little guy does the job and then some. No, it's not built like a tank and if you were going to gig every night for a year, it might not the best. But for monthly performer, this is your mic stand! I really like it and I'm 6 ft 3. It works for little children too. I recommend it.

Missing knob
Nice little stand, very versatile. Missing a clamp knob.

Works as promised.
Granted we use it for Karaoke ar home, but it works great. I thought the boom would be dropping with the weight of our Shure SM48 mics but it holds on pretty good. Not bad for the price.

Broke after 4 weeks, not good for condenser mics
I would suggest spending a few extra bucks on something of better quality. It does NOT grip condenser mics well (keeps slipping out) and my stand actually broke after about 4 weeks of very light use. Not worth the low price, at all.

For the price this is a solid option
Excellent budget mic stand mostly for basic home studios and limited gigging. If you need professional-grade quality you should probably buy the Shure mic stand with the heavy metal base. One suggestion I have for the seller is to offer more colors than just black. I bought the stand for my kids project. I suspected my boys (age 4-7-10) have been reading Marxist literature as the oldest plays a lot of socialist video games like Sim City but the youngest just got into the Wizard of Oz so he likes scarecrows. I ordered the mic stand first and began redesigning it into a fun scarecrow that the boys could dance around with and decorate as they saw fit etc. I make it so that the scarecrow’s head was the top of the mic stand and at the end of the arms the scarecrow was eating a fun ice cream cone. I never let the kids listen to music so the two youngest at least should not be able to recognize the shape of a microphone so I could paint it white like vanilla and then catch the oldest reading the communist manifesto to them red handed but when I went to paint the microphone vanilla colored it made everything sound muffled and while that’s not entirely the fault of the mic stand I think more color options would be great in the future.
