Arcadia PureSun Mini Bird Lighting Kit

The light is great with my geo cage but was super frustrating to put together. The clip to hold the light bar onto the frame is just hopeless. The screw is not long enough and the lamp moved so much that it kept falling apart. Super frustrating. The clamp for the cage attachment looked a poor design too. In the end I dispelled with the clip and used double backed gel tape which has secured it really well. As I have the Geo cage without vertical sides I have also used the gel tape to secure the lamp to the wall.

Firstly, it’s really flimsy considering how expensive it is, the clip to hold the light is really tough to get onto the light and scratches the surface. There’s no instruction how to fit the light bulb (turns out you just slot it in and twist it gently). Got it all set up and then it didn’t work! Very smart looking in the pictures but that’s it.

I have bought Arcadia lamps for years. Sadly, this one falls way short of the quality expected from such an established company. The mounting bracket supplied is almost useless. It is flimsy plastic, the screws are too short to mount to anything. In fact the domed nut given doesn't even screw onto the lamp mount (not the cage) and the metal nut cannot be tightened for fear of snapping the plastic. The whole thing is wobbly, unstable and just poor. The bracket slides down the bars so the light can contact the metal because it can't be tightened and the lack of screw length restricts mounting options.Arcadia, do better.

Holding nuts very small hard to tighten otherwise does the job I'm using it for sick birds and breeding budgies

Brilliant light for my birds and there health . Only downfall is the cord is not long enough to reach the cage properly and I have to adjust the fitting
