Very well made
I love these wooden puzzles. I've bought 5 or 6 for my husband. Very well made.

A great kit!
I came here today to leave a review for one of my favorite kits that I've assembled to date, and I've assembled a lot. I was sad to see that it was sold out. I hope they get it in stock again. I would consider purchasing it again.I used some wood stain to accent the body parts, and black trim for the wrap around piece. It actually looks very cool when completed, less boxy with the stain than the pictures represent. It also functions quite well. The one word that I would give anyone who is new to assembling these types of kits, there are probably some places that you should wax that the instruction book doesn't specifically call out. It's good to look for places where gears will rub up against other wood pieces.UGears is my favorite manufacturer of these types of products, and there are a few that are high quality. The reason I like UGears the best is mostly because their kits are so cleverly engineered.

Great 3D puzzle
This is my second purchase of 3D puzzles. Challenging for adults as well as teenagers. You will not be disappointed. Perfect gift idea. I would suggest getting a sharp blade to help cut out the pieces. You don't want to break them.

Fun to build but somewhat difficult to build
I really like the UGEARS models. They are well thought-out from a design standpoint, the instructions are easy to follow, the model pieces are relatively easy to separate from the wood sheets that hold them. They are a lot of fun to build because the "advanced" models are challenging. Where I had difficulty was getting the parts to go together easily. Sanding and waxing help, but sometimes controlled brut force is necessary. And, while you're applying force to "one side" another side is coming loose if you are not careful. I've found that trimming some pieces with an xacto knife helps and rubber bands to temporarily hold pieces in place also helps. None of these issues should keep someone from buying and attempting to build these models. They are a lot of fun, especially when you get to see them "scoot" across the floor!

Not quite as awesome as I was led to believe
Ugears makes good products, and I have other models. This one is great to look at, yet the assembly posed problems. Some of the connections are so tight, that things can break. Some times I had to use pliers to squeeze parts together due to the location. You'll need to provide your own toothpicks, as the included amount is not enough to cover all the broken ones you'll end up with due to super tight fitting. The description of the rubber band motor was not clearly explained and the color scheme made it hard to distinguish between the band and the wood. After it was all done, the thing didn't move. Either the parts are too tight to allow movement or the rubber bands aren't strong enough. This would make me wonder if I didn't use enough rubber bands, which was a tad confusing from the picture description. Aside from that, the pistons didn't move either. This mechanism is on a different sprocket, so it's not affected by the rubber band. I enjoyed it, and it looks great, but I'm starting to realize that not all Ugears work well. Some do, some don't... so understand that before you buy.
