Unfortunately, my experience with the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen wasn't as positive as I had hoped. While it’s widely known for being lightweight and offering high SPF protection, I encountered a few issues. First, the texture of the sunscreen was a bit too greasy for my liking, especially in humid conditions. Although it's marketed as a lightweight, non-greasy formula, I found it left a shiny finish on my skin, which made me feel sticky throughout the day. Even after applying a small amount, it didn’t fully absorb and felt like it was sitting on top of my skin. Secondly, after a few uses, I noticed it clogged my pores, leading to breakouts. My skin is combination type, and this sunscreen seemed to aggravate it, especially in the T-zone area. The sunscreen felt heavy when I reapplied it, which may have contributed to the breakouts. While it does provide strong sun protection with its SPF 50, which is ideal for long sun exposure, I would recommend it mainly for people with less oily or sensitive skin. The product might work better for dry skin, but for those with oily or acne-prone skin like mine, this sunscreen might not be the best option. Another minor issue was the white cast it left on my skin, particularly noticeable in photographs. It wasn’t the worst, but it did take a bit of time to blend in properly. In summary, while the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen offers great UV protection, its greasy feel, potential to cause breakouts, and white cast left me disappointed. I’d suggest patch-testing if you have sensitive or acne-prone skin before committing to it.

Reviews and ratings mislead us sometimes. Iam gonna write an eloborate review on sunscreens. So that it can help people like me. I'm using sunscreen since the past 6-7 years. First and foremost 7 years before we don't have much options. My first was Lakme sun expert spf 24 or something. It left a white cast. It made me look dark, my skin oily and acne prone. Then used Lotus herbals. It's a night mare. I stopped using sunscreen for some months. Later VLCC anti tan sunscreen SPF 25. It is really good for me.. no white cast, easily gets absorbed. I used it for more than 5 years. Later as my sun exposure got increased due to work, I felt it is not sufficient. Searched for sunscreens with spf 50. As the sunscreens evolved alot in the years. I now had several options what made me confused. After getting few referrals I used The derma co 1% hyaluronuc acid sunscreen SPF 50. It is really good easily absorbed, no white cast with excellent skin protection. But due to humidity and high temperatures during summer in Vizag, I felt my face is becoming oily by using this. ( In rainy and winters it is ok and Iam still using) so shifted to Dr Seth's haldi and hyaluronic acid, and cremaide and vit c sunscreen. Among them Haldi+hyaluronic acid is the best. Be it summer, winter or rainy. If I have stopped my exploration with this product I might not be writing this. Then comes the Neutrogena Ultra sheer Dry touch sunblock spf 50 (It reminded me of Lakme sun expert). It stated that it doesn't leave a white cast, but it does, leaves a white cast, made me look dark, like applying a foundation that doesn't match your skin colour, and felt that a layer was on my face the entire time Iam wearing it. It didn't suited my skin type and I don't suggest it.

I’m gonna buy this again. Literally saved me from tanning.
