Black Security Door Seal Kit

Installed a security screen door to enjoy spring and early morning breezes through the house. Didn't figure on the gaps between the security door and the main door, so animals up to cats could come inside.. Installed this easily, and now blocks all varmints. Needed no adjustments or major cutting. Couldn't be happier!

This is the best kit to fill in the gap between your newly installed security door and threshold. I literally had a 6” gap between the door and entrance. This filled the gap and did the job. However, be warned that you may need to custom fit the plate using metal shears and a dremel. Turned out nice and all parts are included

This product is not for someone who is not handy with a drill and hacksaw. If you are confident and have some basic tools (tape measure, drill, hacksaw, etc.) and know how to use them, then it is a good product. I moved into a place with two security doors and didn’t like the gap that let in bugs, lizards, snakes and the occasional bird—yes a little bird in the house. Once I committed to installing the seal kit, it took me about two hours with my 3yr old helping. I had previously found this product on HomeDepot for $10 more and they had a video to help with the install. I purchased on Amazon for $40 and used the HD video along with the instructions included. I now have a very tight seal around the kitchen security door and very happy with it. This is a great product and works well!

Unfortunately this product didn't fit the way it was supposed to with the way my door is set up. The door sits lower than the house floor causing the guard to go up in a angle. This stops the door from closing. I ended up using the he bottom with the rubber seal instead. This worked out better allowing the door to close. It might not be as effective, but it's better than nothing.

Tge product is good and serves the purpose as described. I was able to install it after lot of cutting and drillings.The instructions shared with the product are not good to follow, very confusing. I had to look for videos on youtube to understand the installation.Needed to cut with a saw to adjust as per the width of my door.Drilling in my mesh door to adjust and install.

Watch the video online & it appears to be a simple install. There are several things they don't mention. you should have a professional install it or try some other type security door threshold.

The bottom rail has a two square tube fitting for a rectangular framed door, but the doors we bought have square frames, so they don't fit. All we can do is to put on the top and bottom "seals" and hope for the best. Looks like it will be around 80% effective.

This is a well built, easy to install security gate threshold.
