YBM HOME in Drawer Bamboo Kitchen Knife Storage Block, Knife Organizer and Holder 317

I bought this knife organizer along with the smaller one. I stopped putting my knives on my kitchen counter in a block after having a Feng Shui consultant tell me it was not a good idea. So, I put them into a drawer with a plastic organizer. In no time at all the knives had cut through the plastic and were sliding all over. These organizers were the perfect answer to my problem; knives out of sight and neatly organized so I wasn't in danger of slicing my hand every time I dug in the drawer for one. It's very sturdy and looks great. I would definitely recommend.

Update 8/2020: still proves to be excellent quality. No chipping, no splinters, still looks new. I place/remove knves from it nearly daily since we do nearly all our own food prep/cooking and only go out to be about 2-3 times a month. This product is going to last.Original review: Wow!!!!! Exceptionally happy I made this purchase. I bought the larger size, and unlike the consumers who complain that the size is wrong because THEY didn't measure their own drawer (seriously?), I did measure the inside of my kitchen drawer and therefore chose the one that would best suit that drawer. It's quality, it's heavy (but not too heavy), and there is not a single part of the product that isn't sanded down smoothly. I expect to use it for YEARS to come and would absolutely recommend to anyone (especially one who thinks to measure their drawer, first).

I very much enjoy this. I bought specialty knives so they did not come in a wooden block like most knife sets. I don’t like having them thrown in a drawer loose because I’m one of those people that finds order for everything. This handy little thing allows me to store my knives in one side of the drawer in a very neat manner similar to the blocks that knife sets come in. I am able to quickly decide which knife I need for the job and not worry about accidentally nicking my fingers in the process. It’s made very sturdy, looks nice…I’ve got no complaints. Great purchase.

This literally is thre spitting image of he one I found at the container store... except $20 cheaper. It looks good seems to be good quality and all my knives have a place. I hated them all piled on top of each other :\. We are going to get our knives sharpened and it seemed like a silly thing to do if I was just going to pile them in a drawer to get knocked and broken. It’s a great solution and looks so nice and tidy.

Although I took very careful measurements before ordering this item, my knives don’t fit. If your knife handle is any deeper than 1 inch, and your drawer is 3 inches deep, you will not be able to close the drawer. I thought the knife handle would sit down into the holder, but it sits on top. Also, there is no space in the middle for a sharpening steel. I’ll be returning this item.

My son and I have been getting into cooking a lot more in the past year or so, and finally got around to organizing our knives in a drawer right next to our cutting board. It's so nice to be able to easily grab whatever knife we want from its comfy resting place. And we don't need to use our main knife's plastic protector anymore, which saves time and trouble every time we need to use the knife or put it away. Not only does the knife block fit nicely in the narrow drawer, there's room to spare for other food-prep tools. Very happy. It actually makes me smile when I open that drawer. My only question is... what took us so long?

I seldom, if ever, post my thoughts about what I purchase through Amazon. However, DON’T BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!It doesn’t accommodate knives properly. They ride up – they slip sideways – they eventually jam in the drawer. Just finished for the umpteenth time testing my patience because a knife had slipped through its assigned slot, wedged itself under this handy-dandy piece of whatever, and caused the drawer to not open. Patience is a virtue – eventually unclogged the jam.Sending this kitchen horror back. If Jeff doesn’t want to refund me and the vendor wants to tell me how incompetent I am then so be it. At least my kitchen will no longer be haunted.

I have an unusual size set of knives (13 knives and a sharpener) and was having a difficult time finding a drawer organizer for them. This works great! Knives sit in it nicely and there is even an extra slots should I purchase more knives. Happy to have my knives tucked away in the drawer nicely and to be rid of the ugly knife block!
