Easy to install & works well but with retracting seat belts is a bit cumbersome to keep inside the car when exiting & needs readjusting with each retraction of death belt, no matter what I try.

I purchased these because I have seen seat belts get trashed and grimy from use, so I looked into protection which led me to these from Dri Seats. I wanted these in black, at least make them look like part of the car, and other cheaper sellers didn't have black. I don't think any light color could be as effective as black for the primary purpose. All colors are washable, but who wants to wash them all the time like you would with a lighter color. If you are on the fence about it, you should realize that the average person will never really get seat belts clean without a serious days work with a steam cleaner and patience, so these seatbelt protectors have an enduring use in the car.Right out of the package they look brand new and I proceeded to close the hook and loop length-long 10 inch velcro fastener system to see if they were made straight, and they are, just a slight wave, its not perfect. This will be hidden as that closure side contacts the passengers body. These appeared a little too wide uninstalled, but when installed they are fine, I think they will flatten out in time as they sit against the seat backs in flat form, in the sun for a few months.The materials could knock a star off the 5 star impression, but fortunately I found on the inside there is a thin plastic coating engineered into the design to strongly support the waterproof statement. This would prevent a spilled liquid from contacting the entire coverage area of the belt that sits across the chest and belly area of passenger when in use. The line in the sand does exist though. I have seen a photo of these suggesting a use as backpack shoulder strap cushions, and that is too bold of a claim. These would not offer much help with a heavy backpack load for comfort, it contains thin lightweight padding sandwiched between the black outer cloth and the inner plastic waterproof layer. (You could however, put more cushion material between this and the shoulder strap and wrap this protector around both for a nicely cushioned strap.)I could subtract a star for the price being too high for what it is, but I don't think it would be fair to deny what future work they could save in cleaning, or in value added bacterial protection, or appearance of the interior it presents in the black color.I would not give 5 stars to any other color, black offers much more value.

The edge piping is sewn very sloppy all the way around. It looks bad. The sewing on the velcro also is loose with open loops. For comfort you want the seam out, but that looks bad too. Seems like it would be better if seam was on edge of belt, but the giant label makes it clear that was not how it was intended to be used. Disappointed.

Need something to keep seatbelts clean from sweat. This does the trick.
