This adapter never worked ever, I tried it with multiple cables and devices. Finally I ended up opening it up ( I am an EE). This horribly designed non working, waste of a $15 adapter that Amazon sells is made out of two female ends and a pwb ( printed wire board). The whole thing is then submerged in epoxy, which is then covered with cheap chinese plastic. It took me forever to open it up to see what was wrong with it. It was the ground cable....it was never attached probably but the people who made this thing did not notice that since all that epoxy was holding it in place although solder was not there. I took a picture of the cheap insides of this connector but can't find a place to post it here. Just take my word, what they are doing is basically robbery at $15. There is another connector on Amazon and they want $25 for it, it looks exactly the same. Since there are not too many Display port couplers out there, people are trying to get away with robbery....at least make it work.

So far so good...up in minutes. Connected the adapter with the micro usb cable that came with it, and plugged in both my monitors via hdmi.

I purchased this product about a month ago now to have 2 1080p 60hz monitors running off the same display port output on my GTX2080 Super, and it worked flawlessly until about 2 days ago where it just wouldn't work with 2 monitors plugged in anymore. I tried plugging the micro USB power input into different USB ports on my machine, and even with an Anker power plug into the wall. I spent about $50 on this item when I bought it, and I noticed the price fluctuating all over the place every time I go to view it on amazon. It's not a good value for the money, and until I hear back from the manufacturer, I would not recommend buying this product. Stay away from this listing if you want a functional product that will last more than a month.

I had a ~10ft display port cable (male/male) and a <6 foot displayport to DVI cable and I wanted to use this adapter to link it all together. both cables work with monitor and computer in question, but using both cables with this adapter did not. So unless 16 feet it exceeding some needed threshold, I don't think this adapter is worth anything. Serves me right for trying to use this rather than buying a new 10' display port to dvi cable.

Purchased this item twice on 8/13/2020 for the price of $23.05 and $22.77. The price as of 8/18/2020 was raised to $72.45/each. It's a brilliant item for $25, not worth it at $70.
