Five star review. These metal buckles have some weight to them and are an upgrade from plastic ones. They won't break from normal usage anymore. They offer different sizes up to one inch wide to thread straps through. Can use indoor or outdoor. Might be just prone to scratches but that's normal.

I bought these to put on the dog collars I made. First, they are pretty heavy duty which is good, but have very sharp edges and corners that I did like for a dog collar. I ended up sanding the edges and corners. I was ok with this, they were nice still, then my dog’s collars came off a few times on each dog. I am not even sure how they came apart. Normally you need to press each side of the buckle to get it open, but somehow they got open and fell of the dogs. I ended up having to replace both dog collars due to this issue. I don’t recommend for dog collars.

These are a good quality and I’m not sure why I didn’t expect them to be heavy lol but they have a bit of weight to them! Maybe a large cat would be ok or small dog or sanity collar for a medium dog but they are too good a quality for my little cats lol what a weird thing to add into my review but it’s true! They nice!
